Anime Expo 2010 - No Rest for the Wicked.
It's been a few days since the end of AX, and I still haven't gone through all my pictures that I want to post. So I think I'll just throw up a few of the more interesting things that happened and then browse the rest for other interesting stuff to show.
So I've been going to AX for at least 6 years now, probably 7. It was in Anaheim a few times and Long Beach once before going to the LACC, which started in '08. I've also been a regular volunteer for those 6 odd years, since they do this cool thing of paying for your ticket if you help take care of the bullshit work that the con needs done. And there's always something that needs done. Though this year had its own host of brand new problems that came about a bunch of internal messes among the AX staff and upper management.
That and I missed the day 0 meeting with the rest of the volunteer staff, and missed out on crash space, which means commuting~~~. Out late, get up early, no time to check on anything, like how the meet started at 3 on Saturday.
Well more about the Con later, lets have some pics!

Hey, I got to meet Danny! That was pretty awesome. Too bad the picture came out so blurry. I only figured out how to stay steady after asking another dude with his 1500 dollar camera how to hold it.

Met Nabshin outside Flemmings as I was walking to the bus stop. Had to take a beat to decide if I wanted a picture.

And here's my friend as Reimu after the closing ceremonies with Danny. This shot also came out bad but couldn't retake it. There was a lady with Danny that must've got a better shot, hope we could see it somewhere.

Got to meet Kurot. Also bought a few prints from her as well. But totally forgot to get her to sign it.
Also, should've tried to get her Mirai picture from her and got both her and Danny to sign it. Then it would've been AWESOME.

AKB48 Autographs. I was working the lines during their signing, and got a shot of one of the guys that were able to get one. The line was really long by the time I got there, and at least 30 some people couldn't get any autographs because of time constraints, many who could've easily waited for the entire hour they were there.

A better shot of Reimu and a Flandre. The Flandre costume she had was pretty nice. Her crystals were made of Plexiglas with prismatic marker coloring, and had that transparent glass feel.

And here they are shining through the sun. Does feel a bit dull as a picture, but was a pretty nice effect.

And here's Chocobear, CHOC's mascot. CHOC is the Children's Hospital of Orange County. Since the SPJA is a non profit organization but AX is being run as a for profit convention, that profit has to go as a donation to a charity organization, and for them it is CHOC. Now, as for their mascot, either they really know their crowd at AX or completely miss the joke, because this is just a really odd coincidence.

Kurot's art.

And the little loot I bought. I came to AX with some 60 in cash on me, and a credit card for anything else. Didn't really feel like getting much, partially because of the prices and mostly cause I really had nowhere to put them.
Also got a Death Smiles poster from the Arksys booth and a Lucky Star one my friend got.
The really sucky part is I also had a poster autographed by Hiroe Rei, but it disappeared after I left it in the Volunteer room while I was out working.
Well all that's left for pics I got are cosplay shots, so I think those can all go into a separate post. And I need a break from posting.
And what category would you put this under?

Was nice meeting you at AX and hope to to see you online more!
