My Disappointment....

I only had her for almost 1 day (as this is posted) and I'm very disappointed with my Figma Yomi. Just take a look and you'll see what I mean.

A white stain.

And this seems to be be the cause of it.

The hair isn't the only victim. T_T
*This is NOT a bootleg figure. I repeat; I DIDN'T bought a bootleg. This is a genuine Figma by Max Factory.

That is a bummer to hear. I hope there is something can be done. D;
Holy crap, Thank heavens I haven't taken Yomi out of her box yet, your accidental mishap will be warning for us all, Thanks Terrorhunt.
If you're planning to take her out, don't throw away the plastic that's wrapped around her since it'll help protect the white paint on her collar from the hair.. I'm really regretted for throwing it.
hmm, that's pretty bad on the paint rubbing off on the other parts, i know for a fact that something similar happen to me.
Wow this is a serious lack of QC! I hope this doesn't turn into something usual with future figmas; it would suck so much.
Yeah. I STRONGLY hope that my soon-to-be Teana won't have the same problem.
That does look bad, indeed. Is it a common occurrence with figmas?
Bizzare... Been playing around with and posing my Figma Yomi A LOT more than my other Figma figures and nothing of the sort has happened to me...
You're one lucky chap you are. This is the first time this actually happened to me really.
Just realized that I spelled 'bizarre' wrongly...
I barely moved Kagami summer uniform ver, I see white paint smudged onto her skirt from her top. Might be the summer heat ^^;
Aw, Kagami getting a bit ... sweaty? :D time for clean cleans~
The heat could definitely be a possibility. My room is almost always air-conditioned and is relatively cool when the air-conditioner is turned off. (Max 32 degrees)
hmm, air con would be useful to keep the figures in the room cool~
Was it like that out of the box, or did it happen after you removed all the bits of plastic? It looks to me like the paint needed longer to set with the colours kept separate by plastic. Of course, that still doesn't make it your fault - figures should be in that 'ready' state before they ship - but it could have happened due to heat or something like that, so it might not necessarily by a Good Smile QC issue.
It happened after I removed it. When I received it from the mailman, the Figma' box was sealed (literally) in an exact fit of another box. Took me minutes to take it out of the parcel. I remembered the content of the Figma had a slight heat inside it, so that might be the problem.
just to point out even though you think you did NOT buy a bottleg item 、
while that is true you still bought a defect.
a factory defect that is.
there are many places in Taiwan, Hong Kong,and Asia in general which sell figures and items which did not pass the quality checks.
in this case they may still have the same boxing with MAX FACTORY or GOOD SMILE COMPANY on them but the actual figure has defects like yours.
I have bought several of these myself too and ORZed over them too..
that's how I know
that or it could just be a simple case of two parts touching for a long time while in a warm place.
What you need to do is mask the affected areas. Spray some primer on. Color match the blue. Spray the blue on in several layers. Then seal the color with a clear coating. About three layers of clear coat. Unmask the area and your figma will be like new again. :)
Yay!
While I'm am doubtful with the method you've suggested, I've no experience in painting a figure in such finer detail, masking and top-coating. Only with model kits at amateur level.
My Yomi has it too, but not as bad as yours! o_o
(Shoulders hide it)
Really wonder htf they let that slip.

(At least I got her to hold her sword :p)
Anyways, I'd contact GSC about yours.
This goes hand in hand with Broken Drossels in the Box imo.
You sure are lucky person. ^^;
sorry to heard about ur yomi, shit happens, i got my konata nendoroid with a clip of paint missing from the front of her head.
IMO, paint rubbing off from some parts to other parts is unavoidable with action figures made from PVC, which we pose them this way and that way. Different parts always have a chance to touch with each other. I got to pose My figmas very careful since I found My figma miku's arm got some green paint from her clothes.
In yomi's case, her color scheme make this even worse I think.
Thats weird. I have her only a few days but i play very much with her and mine is still alright. But good to know this can happen with Yomi, im gonna be more carefull with her.
Thank god I didn't throw away those plastics.
That looks like a factory defect to me. It's too extreme to be s "mass produced" issue.
