    Thanks for the tutorial, mate! Final images are very delicious. How much do eyelashes go for? Will pick some from HK ^_^

    This is a very nice tutorial, you made everything very clear with just enough explanation! I love how the eyelashes look on the dollfie, though I wonder if I would be courageous enough to do all this ^^;

    Thanks! I've been wanting to find out how to get rid of that hot melt adhesive so I can replace it with blu-tack.

      If you want an alternate method, you can use an hair dryer to melt the glue and remove it using your fingers (worked fine for me, although it can be tedious and quite painfull for the fingers), after having poped the eyes out (well inside as a matter of fact...). I'm gonna try the lighter fluid to remove the remaining glue that's still on the eyes tho...

        Actually thinner works better. The hair dryer method leaves stuffs on the eye that's hard to clean. Even Volks themselves posted the tutorial as using paint thinners to dissolve the glue.

        See tutorial on Volks USA's blog page

          Volks also remind us: (copied from the link)
          -Tamiya X-20 Enamel Thinner (This thinner is generally safe for your SD’s makeup, but try not to get it on their face as it can leave behind faint traces where it has made contact.)

            What would be the best stuff to use to wipe and redo the entire face?

              I've used Winsor and Newton brush cleaner to remove and re-do faceup and it worked very well too. It's available in some art supply stores in north america (and maybe elsewhere?)
              http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2268/3529902429_0e97930e7b.jpg

              I might give the lighter fluid a try, but worried to accidentally get some on the face-up. I usually just pull it all out with my fingers using my nails.

        right, that's the simple way to remove, and as u said, fingers are quite painful ><
        the lighter fluid can also remove the remaining glue which stick on the dollfie eyes surface

    I never would have guessed lighter fluid would dissolve that glue. I would be a bit nervous about using it myself.

    The eyelashes look really good on her! I think the eyelashes only look good on some DD heads, though. Sometimes they can look a bit like she's got on waaay too much makeup. ^^;

    Haha, you worry about your English too much. It's more than enough, and as the saying goes, "A picture's worth a thousand words".

    Never saw a direct comparison of with and without eyelashes - looks amazing now that I see the difference.

        I feel the same as you, except I regret not studying Mandarin. I moved over here in Grade 3 - my mom tried to make me take lessons but I refused. x_x

    Good tutorial. Me I prefer no eyelashes though, maybe cuz I'm lazy and don't want to put them in... hehe. I tried once and got glue all over my fingertips and the eyelashes would stick to everything except where they are supposed to. Nightmare! hehe.
