My turn at Drawing!

Posted by Gon 29point55 [www]

I've seen so much sketch/drawing posts here on FigureFM lately, and I thought it was about time to share mine. I don't put watermarks nor signatures on my drawings simply because I find them very ugly... so yeah, handle them with care. XD

Here they are!

My turn at Drawing!

A SiteMascot I drew for Actar's supposed website... well, I dunno what happened. Seems like he didn't push through. I'm thinking about making a SiteMascot-Adoption Center. XD

My turn at Drawing!

My latest work and still [W]ork [I]n [P]rogress... it's basically a corrupted puppet trying to break free from her strings... Hmm.

My turn at Drawing!

A very old drawing of mine.... I used a reference for the body posture since I don't know how angels are suppose to be posed. XD Compared to the wings of the supposed-SiteMascot (first picture), I tried to draw the wings differently here. I'm not sure if it turned out nice, or if it made her look like she had Hawk wings. XD

My turn at Drawing!

Probably my oldest drawing. I used this as a guide for the supposed-SiteMascot (first picture).... you might ask why the red smuged... well that's because I took this drawing with me when I got stranded due to the typhoon (Ondoy, if you've heard of it) and unfortunately, she got all smuged... My idea of this drawing is a checkered-centered color-scheme with no perspective. Even her hairclip and eyes are checkered! XD

Thanks! Erm... I'd gladly take proportion, but anatomy? NO THANKS! XD The thing that shattered my dreams was when my uncle told me "To enter the Arts career, your very first test is to draw the COMPLETE human anatomy." Then I was like.... O___O

Haha! Well I chose the Anime track because the character still keeps its personality and the design that you desire is achieved no matter the [hysical proportion. I used to draw more realistically (similar to the Valkyrie here, except more in depth with detail) back when I was in the 5th grade, but I realized it was a bit to time consuming since there were too much to consider in terms of bodily physique... So I switched to anime-style! XD

This is really good, I don't see anything wrong with proportions or anatomy, at least nothing major ^^ What I might suggest is finding a style and sticking with it because your style seems kinda random (unless that's what you want) Glad to see everyone submitting more drawings lately, hopefully this post and others will inspire more awesome artwork ^^

If there's one thing I completely agree with when someone tells it to me, that would be me having a random style. You took the words right out of my mouth... erm, keyboard. XD

Well that's my problem as well... I haven't found the specific drawing style that I'm comfortable with yet, but one thing for sure's that I could never work with Chibi! XD I tried it and failed long ago, but I guess I'll give it a go sometime soon.

i get your point. but be wary that regardless of style youre after, getting those two elements polished is the first crucial step ;Dc ive been doing this stuff for as long as i can remember and even now i am still working on getting those elements right lol.

        keep on truckin ;D

Good stuff! I know what you mean by not liking to splat a signature on them.
So I would hide mine in the artwork like Norman Rockwell did. Kinda makes the picture a little bit more fun to make for me. Img ID#103146 has my vote. Maybe I should get some water markers and try to catch the spark again.

Norman Rockwell? You mean something like adding a bit of yourself to the picture... enough for people to see that you're the artist without any mark of your name? XD I don't think that would be easy!

Thanks! ID#103146 was one of my quick works which I got to finish within 2-3 hours. ^___^

Yep, it seems most of my best ones are usually in the 1 to 3 hour range too *air brushing not included*. Norman Rockwell would hide his written name somewhere in his art works. Like along the lines of a panel of a desk in small gold letters for example. If you can find some high rez pictures of his, you might be able to pick out his signature carefully hidden.
But you pretty much knew who had done the painting without any signature just by the unique look and by extension, subject and style.

I don't think DeviantArt deserves the noobness of my drawings. XD I'm not confident enough to share my stuff up on sites... I think I'll learn how to do DigitalArt first before I put up my stuff.

Nice work, and I agree with silkhart. You don't need to be a professional to display your works,as long as you've the passion for it.Besides, you can also gain tips from experienced artists as well.
