I've seen their stuff before, the body is pretty impressive. However lots of people think dollfies are already too expensive. I wonder what they think of this price lol.

I only want the body if possible...not too fond of the head.

How much do these bodies go for at auction sites?

While it's very pricey now, hopefully the technology that makes this work will come down in price and also in scale.

Well I still think DD Tamaki's head's better. Silicon body look good but requires too much maintenance. You need to soak it from time to time to remove the static and then you have to fill the holes with something. And apply some coating on it. Way too much maintenance. Silicon body is very resistant to paint and stain, so for those woh want to do some make up on it, it's no easy task. Yet it attracts dust and hair like nuts, hence the maintenance required. On top of that, it seems that metal frame skeleton is too heavy and won't hold the pose. But metal wire skeleton is subject to metal fatigue. So I guess I'd rather live with DD's joints, than deal with all these stuff, kind of destroys the enjoyment of the doll. As for price it's actually not bad consider that original Saber goes for close to that amount anyway. But yeah a less than impressive head and the fact of the maintenance involved and problem associated with them. I won't try to dip my feet into this any time soon.

You can use DD head with ARTE's 60cm bodies.

Silicon bodies are pretty but SO not worth the price to me. Of course, I'm also peeved that there's no way to remove the seams on the consumer end and they don't seem to ever do so at the factory. At that price, and for the purpose of eliminating visible joints, the casting seams should be eradicated as well!

Yeah, I prefer nice looking joints than noticeable silicon seams. Of course in their promo pics the seams are not very noticeable, I suspect there's some photo editing as owner pics look much different!

Considering that I can still pick out the seams in those two close shots at the end (the blushed vs. non-blushed comparison), the owner pictures must look even worse. o.o Yeah, doubt I'm ever going to put down the money on a silicon body, regardless of what type of doll I end up with when I get the money. I'd rather spend the difference on extra clothes and wigs, I think.

Aside from maybe her wig, I think she looks absolutely terrible. Her mouth is really strange, and the silicon bodies, are really ugly, imo. It's strange to see this kind of doll without joints.

There's something about this Tamaki's face, like it's trying to be too cute it just looks a little weird. I prefer the Volks Tamaki face. I like her wig though!

My favorite arte tokio doll is their Rin Kokonoe, I though she was so cute when I first saw her. http://www.artetokio.com/kojika.html
I saw owner pics though and she didn't look as cute. Hmmm

    Interesting type of doll.

Looks a bit too real in some kind of disturbing way...
