MG Dark Destiny

Posted by Gemini [www]

Last year I posted about my White Destiny and I mentioned that I would work on it's counterpart, the Dark Destiny. In my last post, MG Infinite Justice, I showed off a couple of shots of the work in progress. Now it's pretty much done. I'm a pretty lazy modeler so I just cut the parts off the trees as cleanly as I could, but I don't bother sanding and all that.

Lacus likes Gold, I think. Anyway, she's what I'm working on now so I don't know if I'll ever get to painting the silver bits of one of the guns to gold. Maybe someday.

wow this is awesome, smooth painting finish, and I like the color scheme you chose. but the main body color(silver/gray) looks a little bland to me compared to the other parts, maybe more gloss or more flat would make it better

Do you mean the body of the White Destiny or the Dark Destiny?

Salamat. It was the one of the first kits I experimented painting with. I kinda wish I can go back and redo it.

    nice, clean, smooth painting..:D
though it could use some panel lines and you should have sanded down the nub marks before painting, they're still visible like on the gold part of the wings..and i see a couple on the other parts.
still, nice color scheme and smooth painting, nice work..:D

I don't mind the nub marks. Besides, I ran out of sand paper and didn't want to drive an hour into town just to get some. Panel lines, I'm still going to do. As soon as I find my gundam marker.

I started doing that when I was 70% done with the build. I wish I thought of it sooner.

The gold decals are from the Extreme Burst Mode edition. I swapped it for the normal version when I was making the White Destiny.
