Adopted~!

(Shot was taken on Lumix LX3, lighting looks a little weird though.)
After a long day of running around and searching for VOLKS showrooms, I adopted Yui.

Really lucky that I was able to find her in Tachikawa, all the other VOLKS stores had no image characters (aside from the 80000 yen scalper price for Yuki in Ikebukuro D;)

Anyway, would dollfie owners be so kind to share some dollfie care tips?
You may notice I didn't put her tights on, because I put them on once the wrong way and already noticed a tiny stain.
Also, it's kind of hard getting her to sit upright on a 90 degree angle, any tricks?

What are your tips for dealing with stain-y clothes?

I know that there is a wig cap and clear-ish bodysuit; I'm assuming that these are great for preventing staining and I'll probably pick them up.

Also if anybody knows any good places to pick up nice wigs in Tokyo, please share!

Definitely grab a wig cap and body suit, ASAP! Yui has dark hair so that wig will stain her in no time. My Mashiro also had black stockings, so my sister and I made a pair of under-stockings for her out of hose. If you have a sewing machine, this should be easy to do, otherwise, you might try looking for one on y!japan auctions or ebay.

Oh, and congratulations! Yui is adorable!

Mashiro is really cute too. Love the ears on her.

There's a showroom in Tachikawa too huh, should check it out.
I went to the Tenshi no Sumika in Harajuku today, had couple of character images.

    DD's are so pretty... >_>

I went to Ikebukuro (closed though), Tachikawa, and Machida. Didn't go to Harajuku ironically, cause I intended to go to those 3 which are on the other side of the Yamanote line.

Tachikawa's showroom is fairly big, but so are all of them I guess.

    Congrats on you're adoption!

In terms of sitting up right, their is a pivot joint in the torse so that you can bend her forward from the stomach area. Just bend her a little forward and she will sit up right.

Investing in a bodysuit and wig cap is a good idea especially for Yui since she has a darker color wig.

Sorry on the wigs part, I would actually like to know where to get good wigs as well.

By the way, can you tell me the addresses for those stores you visited and other stores you might be visiting. Every store that is Dollfie related ^^

Refer to here for VOLKS locations : http://www.volks.co.jp/en/volks/index_volks.aspx

I went to : Akihabara, Tachikawa, Machida
I would recommend going to Harajuku and Ikebukuro too, just that I didn't get to yet.

As for other Dollfie related places, I'd check around Akihabara.
There are a few shops selling wigs and a few custom heads.

Radio Kaikan in Akihabara is definitely a good visit. Mr.MVP recommends it for wigs, so I'll be going back for a closer look tomorrow.
There's also an Azone showroom, and VOLKS showroom is also there.

Congratulations! I'm a fairly new owner myself, so I'm afraid for tips I'm not so hot yet, but I'd definitely recommend joining Den of Angels--the DD owners there are quite friendly and helpful, and other parts of the forum are chock full of good things like sewing advice, photography tips, and a marketplace for all kinds of things ranging from eyes to whole dolls. In fact, I got my girl on the DoA marketplace! Great place.

Congrats on your adoption. As per your question, I don't believe DD can sit straight at "90" degrees very easily, and that's just way they are.

For general DD care, I also find http://aquilla429.co.uk/ website to be fair comprehensive.

I think you're talking about Nemu Asakura, and they had three versions, this is the wedding dress version: http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/event/dolpa15/dd_nemu.html

        Hope this helps! ^^

Oh haha yes thats the one :3, Thanks for the link and info, but what I actually meant was if Mandrake/Mandarake in Akiba still had her for adoption ^^; If anybody can check it'd be great lol.

Not sure if what I went to was Mandarake but yes, she is still there in one of the cases. There's also a Hina-ichigo dollfie in the same place.

I think I saw a Nemu in Ikebukuro too, also closed eye version

    I agree, get a body stocking and cap for her. She's so adorable! A good thing to do is if her wig gets a little messy, a cheap toothbrush with soft bristles does wonders. Not touching the face when posing is a good idea as well, as too much handling can smudge the faceup apparently. D;

I don't have a DD yet, but I did ALL my research XD

Hmm...Try coating the faceup with sealer so it protects it, but seeing as it's a ready-made doll, it already should be done for you. ^^

I haven't seen Alna at Akihabara, Tachikawa, or Machida.

Harajuku or Ikebukuro might have her; I think I'll stop by the Harajuku Showroom today.
I'll tell you if I see her!

I saw Yui in Harajuku. Just make sure you're in the DD store, not the SD store (they're right beside each other).

I saw her box right beside the cashier. Didn't ask if she was for sale but if the box is there it's likely that she is (cause that's how it went for me in Tachikawa).

              Good luck!
