Dollfie Stands: What's Good and What Sucks?

With my recent Dollfie adoption, I've quickly discovered that getting her to stand on her own is tricky at best, especially since my girl has the top-heavy Dynamite body. So, I'd like to ask you doll veterans out there for advice. I know Dollfie World's stands are well-reviewed, but the price and the tripod capability are probably more than I need right now. . . On the other hand, I know there are a few lemons out there too. What's the best stand you've bought? What's the worst? Was either worth the money you paid for it?

Posing DD is an art all by itself! With that said, don't get the cutie stand, I hate it with a passion. Other than that, I prefer saddle stand for when they wear skirt, waist hold for pants.

I prefer the Volks A-type waist-hold stands. A lot of people like saddle stands, but it just seems a little "ouch" for me -- maybe as a female I feel some sympathy.

The Volks wooden and metal are both good, nice quality. The metal stand has a smaller footprint than the wooden. I have two wooden but my most recent was metal to conserve space in my display area. Also, the metal one has a thin base that I can probably overlap with the wood ones if needed.

A stand is a must to have your DD's secure without risk of toppling over. I have the Volks wood base saddle and waist type stands, am pleased with both. Their bases are pretty wide indeed, so they do take quite a bit of space.

As said saddle is ideal for skirts, a waist stand for pants or other attire where a saddle stand won't be handy. Careful for dolls with long hair to not get it stuck in the waist stand metal bars.

"Careful for dolls with long hair to not get it stuck in the waist stand metal bars." That is so true, another reason I don't generally like waist hold stand.

I second that. I like the metal ones. They blend well with the dolls.

Ask Natalie(Dollfie World) if she can sell you the stand without the acrilic base, so you save some bucks making a wood base.

Oh, now *there's* a good idea! Then I could probably steampunk the base up, too. . .
