Beijing Trip Wrap-up (Also: Mapo Tofu)
Well, this is really late. It's actually been a week since I came back from Beijing and have been super lazy, but I feel obligated to finish what I started.

The following days that I haven't written about (since Wednesday, June 30) have been slow, but here is a quick blurb on what I did the last few days.
Thursday, my cousin took me to the 798 Art District, which is the famous factory turned into various artist studios. No pictures, since no photos were allowed and I forgot my SD card in my computer. XD I remember one picture displayed an old guy wearing a dress...
Friday, I tried Kanade's favorite food.
The mapo tofu in this restaurant wasn't really hot, but it had the brilliant aftertaste and the spices in it had me sweating somehow. This was actually a Chinese fast food joint so I was mildly surprised that they would serve this kind of stuff. It surely looks healthier than McDonalds or KFC (which are also in China, not to mention that there is no place to sit there because it's so crowded).
Saturday and Sunday, I did some last minute shopping, going to UNIQLO and ICC again, grabbing all the things I wanted before I left.

As I reached the airport, I was kinda sad to leave, but I realized all I did in Beijing was eat, sleep, and spend a lot of money. XD
Besides, I had to be home in time for an awesome 4th of July partay. :D
The airport built a mini Summer Palace inside.
And so, after a 10 hour flight, I am back in the SFO airport, and the trip is over.
I still need to make posts on the BRS and Touhou figures I got. I will do so in subsequent posts.
Haha i was thinking the same thing when i saw the blue sky!! A rarity indeed.
But i heard it's because they moved factories to the suburbs due to the olympics? And now the suburbs are in a horrible state.
what's with this tree having no leaves? isn't it summer already? lol ^^;
Not all deciduous trees have leaves in Summer. In many climates, bare trees in Summer are a fairly normal sight.
798 use to be factory/high tech facility, at least it used to be when i was like 4, i live pretty close from there, across the street on 大山子
