Hair + Naming~

So I decided to switch the wig after making a run to Akiba, and here's what I have.

As you can see its kinda... awkward. Too long on the sides right?
So I intend to trim the hair a little.

Any tips on getting rid of all these tangles? And how do I curl / straighten parts of the hair?

Volks also has this hair oil thing, what exactly is it for?
I read that you can either use tape, or a rubber band to keep the wig on properly, or is a wig cap sufficient?

Also she doesn't have a name yet, so it'd be great if you guys could contribute!
I was thinking... Yukari?

She looks adorable with a longer wig. When you trim it, make sure to cut up into the fringe, rather than straight across (unless you want a bowl cut).
For the rest of her hair, I'd suggest looking up some human wig tutorials as the techniques would be much the same.
Does the wig stay on by itself? If it's tight enough, you don't need anything else.
Seeing as she'll always be a Yui dollfie, you could name her after her seiyuu, Aki.

Personally speaking, I find it slightly weird when I see Image Character Dolls wearing different clothes or wigs that are not meant for their character as I'm someone who really likes my figures and dolls to be as 'accurate' as possible to their original Anime counterparts, bit that's just me. (^.^;)

Question. If I want to create my own custom dollfie or 1/6 scale doll, how do I go about doing it>

Hmm well, I wouldn't want to keep her looking like Yui all the time, because I want to custom her! But I'll always be able to change her back to cosplaying as Yui :3

Anyway, if you want to custom your own dollfie, you have a few choices.
      - Buy a standard/image character, then swap out parts on your own
      - Completely scratch build (but you'll need to do something about the head, because option heads, which are the ones sold by the head, need to have faceup done on them)

Honestly I think the hardest part about custom building your dollfie is to figure out what to do about the face.
Personally I like Yui's face, so I'll build my custom off of her. Plus I'll always have her stuff to have the doll cosplay as Yui again.

Not sure about 1/6 dolls though.

The Volks (renewal) wig cap and/or some wig stopper will keep the wig in place without issues.

Volks wig oil is great for wig care, it helps to untangle too.
