Volks usa has their page up for the Home Town Dolpa Osaka 6 lottery page the lottery starts on August 1st at 11:00am PST until August 4th at 11:00am PST. Best of luck to anyone who enters for the beauties.

I'll be entering for Mari.
Forgot to ask -- I've never entered the lottery before. Is it a contract to buy? I was thinking about asking a family member to enter as well to increase my chances, but two Mari's will be overkill if we both win.
If you do manage to win an extra one I would like to be the first to buy it off you. :)

They do ask for your payment information on the front end, so there is a possibility. They will email you before hand to tell you if you won and when the payment will be taken. So I guess it would be possible to contact them to cancel the extra one if you weren't going to resell her.
yup but cancellation is not possible except you got a really good reason XD but you can invent one :P
Not sure about the other two, but Mari would definitely be easy to sell. However:
"Each customer may enter the lottery for one of each item. If we receive more than one entry for the same item by the same person, we will cancel all of that person's entries."
Now, depending on how they judge "same person" that might not work out. As they could judge by:
- same account
- same credit card
- same shipping (or billing) address
The first two would be easy to get around, but the last would really hurt. Especially if your orders get cancelled.
However, this will be my first time entering so I'm not sure the criteria that they deem worthy of cancelling.
Yeah, I don't think I want to risk it -- it would be the same shipping address. Plus, probably not really fair to others.

I noticed the price went up a bit, not by much though, on these girls, is it because it's not a normal dolls party? I mean i noticed that on a hometown dolls party, the dolls are a bit more expensive than a regular dolpa like the last one. They don't seem to come with that many accessories so they shouldn't cost a bit more, but i guess it's just trying to save as much money possible that i notice these little things >.>" Anyways i shall be trying for DD Mari XD Good luck to all
Sure there are a lot of factors that determine the pricing though.
Hello! I am a newbie here. :)
I have been reading DC and figure.fm for about 2 years but have never joined and contributed any posts. My interest is in all things Japanese, especially anime. I like DD, Evangelion and Kato model trains.
What lured me out of my "cave" is DD Mari Makinami! I want one badly. :)
So, here I am, hoping to seek some advice from experts here how can I get my hands on one.
I understand that it is exclusive to Dolpa Osaka 6. And there will be a Lottery thereafter.
Apart from trying my slim chance/luck at the Lottery, is there any other creative workaround to buy one ? And form of advice will be appreciated.
I will be heading to Tokyo in late August. Would it help in any ways ?
Usally after the DDs come out they will be on YJA, but with a marked up price. These one won't be shipping till October from what I read on the site. You get to buy them now but won't get them till October. So if you have no luck on the lottery just wait till they get posted on YJA.

Its your best bet or you can try rinkya which is a middle man service from japan to you. If i remeber correctly the have a toolbar where your can translate yahoo japan aution. Also keep an eye out on dollfieworld.com the shop already has they other two DDs so Mari might show up later.
Like Anime-X99 said they come out on YJA later with a lovely killer price tag.Lurking, watching, waiting to kill your poor wallet. Anyway another way you can try is check out the mandrake website every once in a while for it.

Certainly very helpful pointers you have given, especially the Mandarake site. Since I will be in Tokyo late Aug, I will definitely check it out and perhaps find a DD Mari there, if I am that lucky. :)
