intuos4開封の儀

Posted by Haku1923 [www]

Finally got my hands on intuos4 (small) shortly after my bamboo paint tablet went on the fritz and I must say, this is something.
The packaging is great, the touch fantastic, and lots of possible customization^^
A lot of people say that there is some defects with the pen and all but none of that has happened to mine......yet^^;

      yeah me too^^
      It goes great with any other peripheral PC gadgets and to my surprise no weird static sounds are coming off from it.

      Bamboo. Well, it was cost effective but not ideal for drawing^^;

      Haven't tried out the old series like graphire before bamboo so it was a giant leap in technology lol
      hmm...the software I'm using is called DELETER CG Illust but I think it was formally called opencanvas or something so that's probably why you see the similarity^^; Pretty good isn't it huh?

        hehe yeh massive leap, i just looked it up they dont make gaphires anymore its just bams and ints.
        ah ok, yeh i love opencanvas feels more fluid when im using it compared to PhotoShop when using the tablet.
        cant wait to see some of your stuff. draw heaps of circles xD just for the heck of it lolz

          It seems so.
          Haven’t tried out anything else but open canvas but yeah the fluidness is quite remarkable especially when using pencil tool^^
          Some of my new stuff^^; Well….since I’m back to studying proportions, you can check out my previous work till then.

    heard lots of issues with the pen on this line Wacom... but hope you got a good one. I would buy the Med size one when they fix the issues as with my luck I would probably be sent a bad one :p

      Nope. No defects as far as I can tell and even if there was there’s always the warranty^^;
      Anyways good luck with your next purchase~

    I have yet to meet a person to regret getting an Intous.
    Sure, 4 is supposed to have some issues with nip abrasion, but it also has a lot of nice new features (including the optional rotation-sensitive pen that HAS a button). Sticking with my 3 for now.

      Me too. A lot of my friends that also draw praises this beauty highly for the features you just explained and so do I^^
      What’s 3 like? I wonder…..

    ah so lucky >,< I heard great things about the Intous despite its little bugs. I need to start saving up for a tablet instead of using my mouse to draw xD

      Σ(・ω・ノ)ノ!w

      Now that’s a surprise. I didn’t know you could actually draw with a mouse or much less continue drawing with it^^; Isn’t it stressful?

        T-T VERY! Takes hours just to do lineart but you get used to it after a while. At least I can get close to kinda drawings I want to do instead of making it on paper and coloring it ^^'

          I can only imagine...^^;
          Yeah, it does come out better than in analog coloring but it's way different when done with a paint tablet. ペンタブ買うべし!

            hmm here's link to a drawing I done using the mouse xD http://jpskyline.deviantart.com/#/d2uiife ;took 3 hours to sketch/color T-T though most tablet users can do it within 30 minutes 'o' Its simple but doesn't look half bad(i hope ^^')

              You know, actually that's pretty impressive. Especially the detailed guitar:)
              Had I only mouse to do the job I wot it would take much more than that^^;

    Awesome I use a Intuos 4 as well and I have to say it's a lot better and to me felt better than my Intuos 3. I will say tho don't use the mouse that comes with it because I wanted a wireless mouse back then:/ and I ended up using it for a week for normal usage like internet browsing etc tho not for drawing of course and it started leaving this large wear mark on my tablet surface. But other than that problem the tablet still works wonders and it works just as good as the day I bought it which was about a year+ ago.

      A mouse you say?
      Hmm….that’s weird because all there was were the stuff you see in the pics above. Maybe it’s different overseas? Anyways I’ve no intention of using intuos4 as a mouse pad so not to worry^^;

      Yes indeed very nice and a bit costly than the bamboos^^;
      Still it’s recommended nonetheless.

    The USB port is fragile, the connections are very thin. As long as you don't move the cord too much, you should be fine.

      Cintiq is a tad bit too pricey for my taste><

        ....The web? How can it have problems with that O.o Either way, I switch back to a mouse for that, so woudn't know any problems there...The large is amazing. Exta large would have been the preference, but double the price got the finger.

          oh,
          I meant that I here news regarding the defects mainly through the internet but not from anyone I know personally^^;
          Since that you are a digital 3D student, intuos extra large would probably help you greatly with CAD and whatnot. Me, I'm just a another college student taking humanities course trying to draw in my part time so inutos small is more than enough^^;
