Chogokin Super Evangelion

When it comes to my interests, I'm really passionate about them BUT I keep my restraint especially around other people......except when talking about Evangelion.....my fanboy side comes out whenever Evangelion becomes the topic XD

Anyway, so I bought this in the animate shop in front of CTMA center during my last trip to Hong Kong. I got it for cheap too (about 600HKD or 75USD). I was lucky in that this was their last stock, in fact, this was their display item :-P. I eventually found out that Bandai stopped producing this figure too so getting it online is a pain nowadays. I doubt that fact, however. I'm sure Bandai will make another production run of this sometime in the future (as with most of their releases anyway). Now, on to the figure.

I'm not big on the long review articles so I'll keep this short and simple:

Pros:
- Outstanding paintjob and markings. Better than most GFF releases I've seen.
- Fairly posable, think HGUC kits.
- Convertible rifle is a nice option.
- A multitude of hand options. Each weapon has a hand molded specifically for it.

Cons:
- Head keeps popping off (quite annoying).
- Arms can't lift the longer rifle.
- Vinyl strips in the hips prevent wider articulation, they also keep on popping off.

Verdict:
Is it worth my money? my objective mind says YES, my fanboy side says HELL YEEAAAAAH!!!! >:-D

If you're an Evangelion fan, this is a MUST buy figure. If you're just a casually interested collector, then you can buy this even just to appreciate how nicely made this figure is.
