I think there is an anime con going on in HK from end of July till early August, think that is worth a shot. Well for anime goods and games you should definitely check out Mong Kok. The rest of the places I can think of are tourist spots that you can find on any tourist maps, like The Peak, Lan Kwai Fong, and Ocean Park. Where in HK are you going to be staying at?

Read your blog, and if you're looking for a cellphone, and have a Japan contact, consider buying a phone on prepaid from Softbank.

I'm lucky enough to have a Japanese contact, and they helped me get a Softbank phone. Its prepaid and I get to keep it. For 300 yen out of the 3000yen I loaded it with, I get unlimited texting and mail (works like an email, but exclusive to your phone). Incredibly useful. No internet and wifi and those fancy features though.

As for any meetups, no can do for me I'm guessing. Leaving Japan on the 4th. Hope your trip goes well!

Also be sure to check out Shibuya for fashion too! 109-2 has quite a bit of Men's fashion. Some are at steep prices mind you. Harajuku is obviously another great place.

While in Hong Kong, you might want to consider Lantau Island. There is a giant Buddah statue there. I wished I could have gone there when I was in Hong Kong a couple years ago, but didn't have time.

You should go to Sino Centre(信和中心) in Mong Kok,there's a lot of anime shops at the bottom floor, here's the address: 582-592 Nathan Road in Mong Kok
I go there every time when I go to HK

Well shops upstairs are full of vedio games, but if you go downstairs you will find CDs,eroge, manga, dakimakura cases and they are all from Japan, not fake ones~Most of my anime goods are from there,if you read my only post on figure.fm,you might be quite surprised that I bought them all from Sino~they don't only sell vedio games and porn there,it's 188 centre in Wanchai that sells them
