MG Exia
Here's my Exia. It took me a whole year working on and off and it's my first completed kit in 2010 lol. Last year I finished 14 kits. Oh well. There are many mistakes on this, please feel free to comment on them, I need the criticism. This would have looked much worst if I didn't receive the motivation to strip messed up parts and repaint them haha. Here are the pictures:
Besides bad posing, the Exia had really loose thigh joints, so I HAD to put it on a stand. It may seem out of place, sorry.

That's a nice metallic blue you used. I'm still deciding on which gundam to build for my first MG. I'm thinking IWSP Strike or just Aile Strike.
Isn't it basically building the same thing? lol
True but I like the IWSP more yet the Aile pack is more the Canon one. Plus Aile one has the brighter blue color compared to IWSP one.
So shiny!!! 0_0
thanks!!!
Looks good to me. I have not used metallics or any glossy paints, but works well on this kit. btw, nice photography set up.
Haha, once you get to use metallic paints, you'll love them. Thanks.
nice bling on the blue!
Thanks!
ooo nice shiny blue. But somehow its kinda dark.prefer it if it was a lighter shade of blue.
Yeah, I was planning to go for a lighter blue, but I applied too many layers of the clear blue and it ended up looking like that.
It actually looks quite realistic and slightly weathered nicely. Only thing that bothers me is the right shoulder smudges and what it looks like a finger print?
Well not realistic in a sense you wouldn't want a shiny Gundam flying around reflecting lights miles away :P
The smudges are from a previous coat of minwax :\
There are a bunch of fingerprints on this kit, I didn't get a chance to wipe them off after assembling it.
Thanks!
nice blue colour!
Thanks :)
Nice work mate.
Airbrush or Spray Paint? I was wondeirng what colours did you use?
Both. At first I sprayed out Testors silver + clear blue
After, I used the same thing but decanned.
Oh Its your Deku! From Hobbyfanatics!
I see dude. Good work. I see the faults and mistakes, but oh well.
Did you gloss coat it several layers?
About 3-5 layers on certain parts.
I like the glossy look but I think the paint looks too thick on the blue parts.
Haha, it is think, but I think I like the effect it makes.
