First post/Merry Fig-mas

Hi ^__^
I'm an 18 year old girl from England and I've been lurking around the boards for a while now and thought it was about time I made a post, after thinking long and hard about what to post about I couldn't come up with a thing ):!

That was until the post came, two big packages, one from HLJ and one from HobbySearch!! As i was drowning my sorrows by putting Ritsu together, mum came down and pointed out that everyday the postman comes is like Christmas to me, he's my santa! Thats when I decided to make my Christmas a very figure full one :) So for the next 4 1/2 months any parcels that come in the post will be opened by my brother to check everythings okay and then re-sealed and put into storage and wont come out again until Christmas day :) then it really will be an amazing day!

This will start from the 1st August until the 25th December >_<
it'll be horrible ):
but still...

^___^ yay!!
How many parcels do you think i'll end up with altogether?
And good or bad idea?

check me out on myfigurecollection!

Welcome to the site, I wouldn't be able to do it I hate waiting for anything to be shipped to me I'm very impatient, plus with the frequency of stuff I tend to get don't think would have room to store it.

    also nice chibi Misuzu pic

    I couldn't quite pick from those voting options, because it's not that I think it's a BAD idea or that I COULDN'T do it... I just wouldn't. ^^;

I'm wondering something: if every time the postman delivers a package of figures to you is like Christmas, why wouldn't you want to keep getting that excitement all throughout the year instead of piling it all up on actual Christmas, which is surely already like Christmas? It's an interesting idea though, let us know how it goes, one way or the other. And on the upside, if you usually choose to ship by EMS you could switch to Registered SAL to save on money, since time isn't an issue.

Its not that many really, since it includes a few petit sets like Nanoha, Lucky Star X Street Fighter, etc etc. I was just looking at my MFC total.

Reminds me of how I always try to avoid eating my popcorn or candy at the movies until the trailers start, only on a much more dramatic scale. Popcorn I can manage, but not opening figures. . .That'd be so hard! Of course, the best way to pull it off with me would be to keep me from *ever* seeing the packages, because I sometimes have the memory of a goldfish and would quite likely forget they were coming. XD Actually, once my mom *did* tell me what I was getting for Christmas, but also told me to act surprised when I opened it for the sake of the rest of the family. We had a laugh over it later, though, because I actually was surprised, as I'd forgotten about it altogether!

    I did that last Christmas.
fortunately the figs arrived about a month before, so it was all good ^_^.
but unfortunately I new where the packages were, so I would sneak up, open the box, drool over stuff, then put it away quickly when I thought someone was coming. I can't wait till Christmas xD

I could never do that. I would also be able to enjoy each figure less if I got them all at once. One or two at a time is perfect.
