Figma Mugi comes home
It's been a very long time since I've gotten a figure; not since the end of the school year when I purchased Nendo Alphard and Jieitan. I have all the K-ON! girls ordered, and Mugi is the first to arrive (Mio is on her way). It's been even longer since I've gotten a figure by package, and I'd almost forgotten how exciting it is to race to the door, sign for your package, and then carry it back inside. It was especially exciting to me because I wasn't sure if it was Mugi or Mio.
There are a lot of things that I love about Mugi. The fact that the hair that hangs over her shoulder is soft is a big plus to me, and the soft material of the skirt is something that I love. She's absolutely adorable and really captures the character perfectly. She is quite possibly the figma I have been the most happy about so far in my collection.
The attention to detail is also fantastic. The buttons on her sleeves and her coat are perfect, and I have to say that I like the way her uniform looks much better than the Haruhi Suzumiya girls. I adore her.
The keyboard is absolutely insane. My mother is a pianist, and I've seen her play on keyboards before, and this hits the nail right on the head.
Since Mugi is a pianist, and not just a keyboardist, I thought it would be appropriate to photograph her on my mother's piano at home.

I'll be honest, this isn't my favorite face of Mugi. It's cute, but I much prefer the other two.

Mugi is a proper young lady and always sits with her legs crossed at the ankle.
This is my favorite face that Mugi has. She makes it a lot during the series, and it's just painfully cute.
Mugi is already making friends with the other figmas! I think she'll fit in just fine.
Nice! Hopefully the other girls arrive soon for you so Mugi wouldn't have to be all alone. Just a little observation I made a while back but Mugi's keyboard is suppose to be a Korg Triton Extreme 76-key keyboard yet this figma's one only has 74 keys on it. And I thought Max Factory knows how to do their homework...
Maybe they just ran out of room XD; I still love how muh attention to detail there is.

I got my Mugi Figma at the Sofmap store in Akiba by chance as I was there checking out some tech. While I do like the figure very much, her face isn't quite as good a match as the alter version. Her famous eyebrows aren't as thick as they should be and her cheeks are a bit chubby by comparison but she is still adorable.
