I'm not much of a figma colllector, I rather have nendoroids, but you sir might have changed my mind ;)
I'm the opposite, love Figmas, but only spring for Nendoroids from time to time. (^.^)
Nendo's are more kawaii~ :D

even though im more of a PVC figure fan. i don't usually play with figmas much so yeah..
Whatever the case, for any Eva fan, I'd recommend the RAHs. I already have Asuka and Rei and am awaiting Mari's arrival. What they lack in accessories, they make up for it in terms of size, poseability, details, accuracy, aesthetics and prestige. Truly the definitive figures of the girls.
i only have RAH Asuka, but it's difficult (or rather feel uneasy) to pose due to the leather suit, don't want it ripped/stretched etc. RAH Asuka school uniform version looks really nice, that should also go on Eva/Asuka fan's list >_<
I like that too!! but it's kinda pricey!! i hesitated back then...Any idea where i still can get Rei RAH for a decent price?

I'm gladly getting both, but it should be pointed out the Revolotech one had more womanly curves, and she has a squishy belly that is fun to poke. :)
So long as they release her original plugsuit, wished they'd open the pre-orders.

I agree. I like the original plug suit design better. Asuka be my favorite of the Eva girls by the way.
They really did a great job, but I'm not getting her because 1) I actually prefer Rei to Asuka and 2) Agatha needs shoes. Wow, that must be the first time in my life I've passed something fun up in favor of shoes, even if they aren't my shoes. @_@

I admit that this Figma Asuka looks nice, but like Meimi, I want the original suit version. Truth to be told, I'm kinda stuck in a decision between Figma Mari or Revoltech Mari after seeing a lot of good reviews of Revoltech version of Mari. haven't got any Revoltech figures as they're not as good as Figma in the past, but from what I've seen, most of the new Revoltech figures (especially the Fraulein lines) are getting better.
Maybe I should get both for a better comparison, just to be safe.
revoltech's gonna release her original suit this coming fall nyah^^ er. well, the revoltech 05 mari has a pearl finish as compared to the figma as well as her facial expressions are more convincing. well, the figma asuka is better in accuracy as compared to the figma mari if you ask me nyah:3 although i already have a revo asuka. a figma counterpart for me wud be just too much of a luxury for me. although her surprised look version here is not my type. as well as i luv the "hehehe PWNED" look in the revo version nyah:3

I have to say i like both Fraulein and Figma version, the Fraulein has better joints, especially the new waist joint that i like alot, and also better paint finish too! lurve the glossiness! not to mention it's bigger in scale, it's 4cm taller! As for Figma, it has a COCKPIT!!! and the facial expressions are way more accurate than it's competitor... I struggled for quite a while back there.... and decided to get both...haha!!!Sorry Mr wallet....
i like the cockpit too nyah :3 but as i said on a previouus mari post, buying the figma just because of the cockpit is a bit luxurious for me :3 ah! revo mari has a pearl finish, revo asuka has a car shine finish, and revo rei has a matte finish nyah:3 really?! figmas are smaller than revos? O____O i nevur hada figma figure before. but i'll be having megurine luka this november^^ as well as nodoka manabe by january^^ not to mention KOS MOS^^ although i dunno when will she be available^^
well, about accuracy. as i said before. revoltechs based theirs in official artwork designs, like the ones you see on wall scrolls and stuff^^ while the figma based their design in the actual animation which is a bit simplified for animation purposes^^
I don't know, I like her new suit more. I noticed my bookmarking of Asuka images on pixiv went up like 200% after the new suit was shown and people started drawing it~
Recently got Revoltech Yoko Movie version and even when the face, boobs and outfit is really really nicely done, the gap in the "butt joints" and some little paint details make me feel somewhat disappointed. Also, the range of movement of the legs and shoulders is quite inferior than the Queen's Blade/Gate non-Fraulein Revos.
the trick in fraulein shoulders is to rotate the non revo-joint part of her shoulder to make her arm 180 degrees nyah^^
well, they are frauleins nyah :3 not to be used for uber-ecchi poses like ones in queen's blade.:3
Aye, and about Yoko; yeah is unforgivable they didn't pack the shades in the movie version.
Her expression alone devastates the Revo version!
nyah:3 i like the revo version of this face nyah, it's much cuter in revo version, while this one is kinda like an animation screenshot :3 but i like the angry face of her by figma nyah :3
Now that's more like Asuka...
although the revo version doesnt hav the angry face that the figma version has. im kinda envious about it O______O as well as the tubes on her back is stationary to the back pack as compared to the revo version. but the revo version's unstationary backpack is due to the figure's ability ti bend or rotate the waist and torso area^^
i also find the figma's default face for the mari and asuka seemed a little... unnatural... kinda like looking at dora's face when she's no talking nya O____O but the good thing about figmas is that that they don't create a gap on the back leg area as compared to the revo, but that doen't keep me from buying the revos since i like how they make the face-parts as bishoujo as possible without sacrificing the design's accuracy. most of the revo plugsuit faces are based on the official art design while the figma version are based on the animation design.^^

As for the Dora's face n_n... I feel it looks quite right in Ayanami figma. Also you're right in that the butt gap is one weak point in Frauleins, specially in Yoko's hot-pants T_T.
i'm expecting someone's gonna say something about my dora comparison nyah :3 well, as you can see. figma doesn't have a rei yet (or I just missed it). so I was just talking about mari and asuka nyah :3 of course rei will always have that blank expression (that's what I like about her. but dora still scares me). although in the 2.0 movies, she's somewhat been added a little emotion nyah :3

although, i think I like the revo version of rei nyah :3 her hair in the revo version has this glossy finish on the hair shine area nyah:3 one thing i noticed on the figma plugsuit girls it that they look busty-er (i like how figma made rei's chest part, made me remember kobayashi yuji's art) than they're supposed to be nyah :3 as well as the crotch line for figmas made them look like gynoids (well, no problem if they're wearing skirts). But I must say, it is a hard choice to choose on which ones are better^^ since both of them has its ups and downs. but if you ask me, I'll go for Revoltech's bishoujo looks (and I don't have the luxury,or space, to have both Revo and Figma of the same characters) over Figma's "nice-body" BWH nyah :3
Since I'm an old ecchi drooler and love "kobayashi style busty-er" figures^^, I will pick up the figma versions. I already have movie Yoko from revoltech and even withe her "superior attributes" I don't find the figure all that appealing. Just my two cents of course. Thanks for all the interesting comments!
i luv movie version yoko >_________< she's the first revo figure i got and the second of omy collection^^ the first was a gift, it was the vocaloid petit set nyah :3 i just luv miku and haku^^
a shame the movie version yoko doesn't have the yellow shades though '____' i don't have the luxury to buy the original version just for the sake of it. hey! the revo version of yoko is curvy-licous nyah :3 although she only has one extra face. i luv how they packed all her guns, extra hair, and hairpins all in one original fraulein box nyah :3

Nothing has been announced yet so I'm hoping it will happen eventually.
The cockpit made it a sure buy, but if i were to buy all 3 characters....i'll get 3 of these....not sure if i need that much...

I love the surprised facial expression and angry facial expression but the new plug suit isn't my cup of tea. I was hoping that Max Factory would release the original plug suit seeing how I already have the Revoltech version of Asuka.
revoltech will release a eva provisional plugsuit mari and original asuka plugsuit version this fall nyah :3
Have seen Mari green suit, but is there other original Asuka plugsuit besides the one that Revoltech already have? Link?
someone posted his wonfes pics here i can't seem to find it. but anyways. revoltechs have these printed catalogs included when you buy their figures. when i bought my rei 2.0 they advertised green mari along with original asuka2.0 in the catalogue. as well as an awesome looking fist of the north star figure^^ er... i don't have a scanner to scan right now though O_______O i can scan it if you're willing to wait for it. or, you could just trust me on this one nyah :3 why would a moderate (not rabid) eva fan like me lie about stuff like dat nyah :3

i wonder if the original plugsuit asuka will have the "eye-patch" version as seen in the second movie's preview though O_____O well, i'll definitely get mari and asuka, i think of it as an additional parts rather than a clone, like if i buy a figma and revo version. i just hope they are compatible with their former counterparts though^^
I got myself the Revo Mari and I like her so much. I decided not to buy Revo Rei and Asuka though, since I wanted Figma's cockpit sit. I do prefer Revo's figures for the better finish and curves. But I'd really like that cockpit sit. :D So I'm going to buy Figma's Asuka Test Suit. (^-^
