Demographic Groups in anime.. can anyone help me??

okay, in order to make a presentation for my assignment, I have decided to make a topic about the Demographic Groups in anime which is shonen, shoujo, seinen, josei and kodomo.. so, i have to make a research except from wikipedia, can anyone give me some example or definition of these topics? i have no idea how to get the information up to 6 source! from website, you, books.. and.. wheres the other three?? darn it..
anyway, its okay if you want to use your own definition by yourself, so i will give credits in my assignment as my source..
for those have the Otaku Encyclopedia, are these topics included in that encyclopedia? if is, please tell me.. i need it ASAP in 2 weeks time!
if have any problems, feel free to tell me..
thanks..
sorry for my bad language.. haha..

"Shojo (girls') manga is filled with humor, innocence, grace, mischief, and silliness. Although it has been thought of primarily as a comic book style that appeals mainly to girls, it is becoming increasingly popular among boys, as well, because shojo stories and characters are so compelling. Everyone can relate to shojo characters. They're not samurai. They're not androids. They're regular kids having a good time and finding their way through the twists and turns of life."
From Manga Mania by Christopher Hart, Watson-Guptill Publications, New York. Copyright 2001 ISBN 0-8230-3035-0
Found on page 23, and every time the word shojo is used there is a horizontal line above the first "o".
As for examples,I would say many of your "slice-o-life" animes/manga's would qualify. Titles like "Lucky Star", "GA: Geijutsuk art design class", and "Hidamari sketch" I believe fall into the category of shojo.
As for shonen, I'm pretty sure series like Pokemon, Digimon, and Beyblade would fall into that category. Pretty sure. Anybody feel free to comment on this.
internet, journals, articles, publications, encyclopedia, videos
six sources~
Shounen- anime like naruto, bleach , one piece, I think you get the just, which are mainly aimed at highschool students, etc which are filled with action, comedy and what not
Shoujo are mainly like romance which are targeted at females, although boys read them too ( I for one)
Seinen would be for the young adult demographic, although can be targeted for people who are like 25 and what not. Seinen is more mature, contains more depth I guess.
Josei is mainly targeted at young women and also some older women. Contains more mature content, like romance and what not.
Basically, shounen is the opposite of seinen, vice versa for shoujo, Just that they are different in terms of maturity content and what not
Anyways this is what I've figured out from reading these few manga series, correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm pretty sure I am lol. But hopefully I gave you a basic idea
I wouldn't use wikipedia as a source, as it wouldn't really be good reference, since it's just normal everyday people like you and me who edit the text. Wikipedia should just give you a general understanding of the content
Anyways I hope I helped, I rambled on too much
yea,its more than i needed.. thanks!
what i tell is shoujo manga drawing style usually is eyes contain "galaxy" inside...or limbs usually thin, dont have muscle curve at all...and the male character usually is long face, sharp eyes, long fingers...and usually got a lot flowers as background too....instead of lines to express explotions...like that...
thanks, er, can give another w=example instead??
like from web or what??
not to sound rude^^" but shouldn't you be doing this yourself?
i think there is some word missing before..
haha.. it's for research..
nothing else..
maybe this book will help http://www.amazon.co.uk/Schoolgirl-Milky-Crisis-Adventures-Anime/dp/1848560834 I used it for an essay I had to write about a documentary I pitched at uni. When collecting research from many sources I use books, internet, magazines, make my own questionnaires, and contact if possible people who know what I need to know for the paper ^_^
