More August Loot
Ok, so it's not much loot, but I'd like to share a few things I got in August, accompanied by Haruhi of course.
First of all, this year at Anime Festival Orlando I won Best Drama/Romance AMV at the Anime Music Video contest for my K-On!/Beatles video! You can see it HERE , as Haruhi and Ritsu celebrate this victory for the forces of moe!
Oh, Futurama's on!
For fans of my Delorean from my room post many a moon ago, I now have another awesome 80's vehicle: The A-Team van! It's on celerence at most Target stores for as low as $12. A low price to pay for what I'm sure will spawn many a hilarious Figma photo-op to come!
Also at Anime Festival Orlando, I rescued a Yuki Nagato trading figure who had been discounted to $5. And while not on sale, a wild Haruhi tagged along too!
Yuki also came with the usual stand to help support her, but like most Gashapon they seem to stand well enough on their own, and look better without the added support. I usually let it stand on it's own for awhile before making the decision of if the leg support is needed or not. It doesn't help that they look so great on their own!

The BIGGEST surprise of August was that legendary Otaku clothier, COSPA showed up to Anime Festival Orlando! Had NO idea that they would show up to a small little con in Orlando. And on their FIRST year going to American conventions! They never advertised they were coming, and never were listed on the Dealer's list. So to walk in and see a table full of Cospa goodness was astounding! Bought my first Cospa shirt EVER, the lovely Konata Yukata Exclusive!
If only we had festivals to wear this to. Kona-chan, KICK!

Wish I got such a prize when I won an AMV compo once. Got an Ero-fig instead.

When I first got my Evangelion Portraits trading figures I didn't bother with the stands because I didn't think that they needed them. Hovever after a while a few started to wilt so I put the supports on all of them.
Congrats on the award! I wanted to go to AFO, but I was already wiped out from Metrocon. ;_;
No money left.
