FuRyu's Quality Through 2010
FuRyu is a name that got better known to me since the start of this year.
Been a collector of their Little Busters ones (Missed one set, alas) and have seen the quality yoyo-ing through this year..
Well, today the Swimsuit set of Kudryavka and Komari arrived and I was just.. Stunned.
Which lead to me making this article.
(also trying a new watermark out)

January, the Key 10th Memorial Set of Rin & Ayu from Little Busters & Kanon was released.
This was my first meeting with FuRyu and I NEEDED that Ayu figure.
Just looked so cute on that trunk.
Then I saw the double-deal on AmiAmi and just grabbed the set.

I was pretty pleased overall, though Ayu's gloves weren't of the right color.
Maybe they *are* in the 10th Memorial artwork of her.
I'm just used to seeing those darkbrown gloves.. But it captured her innocence well enough.

Rin here was also pretty neat.
Though a disaster came when Summer approached..
Her legs started bending.
But I didn't discover that until later, but when I got her my only thought was: Her skins too pink.

April released the Sasami & Rin set.
I missed the Komari & Kudryavka one.. HLJ never listed it and I wasn't very AmiAmi-savvy yet back then. I raged a little.
Maybe if I see that set somewhere cheap again.. *sigh*

Sasami was pretty well made and the hair is all soft-plastic.
She started to get bending issues like 10th Ann. Rin though.

No real problems with this Rin.
She's stuck to the base with a small clamp on her leg.
She might tip over a little if the surface isn't flat enough.
The two cards that came with these were a nice surprise.

Then June came.. and the Quality dropped to those of a bootleg for some reason with Yuiko and Haruka.
(No, these aren't bootlegs. They're real)

Yuiko's sword looked like she had fought the Customs officers and she had a black dot near her mouth that reminded me of Eruka from Soul Eater.

Haruka was overall fine, but not very photogenetic

July.. FuRyu, WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED LAST MONTH!?

A giant jump in quality all of a sudden!
Kureha's sculpted outfit is really among my favorites here now.

I didn't order a set, because I don't like Kanata.
No cards included either..
She's also a lot more solid when compared with the previous Little Busters ones.

And today (July order tho) these two beauties arrived.
July was a good month for them!

Especially when I turned them arou-

DAT ASS.

Front also has a nice view.

And Kud's just looking innocently cute.

My conclusion being:
FuRyu, keep it up!
You're getting better and better and I hope you'll surprise me (in a good way) with the Angel Beats figures this November!
I miss the Cards though. Please let those return?

Have some box pictures as an extra.

I have also come to the conclusion I lack Kudryavka in her normal school uniform..
Having things from Nurse outfits to.. Well.. Nothing but a hat and stockings.. I kinda want one with the uniform.
Hope I can find that trading figure somewhere cheap..

Despite the few setbacks in the July product yeah, it's improving all right.
Love to have Kureha in my collection but still the stand could still use some work.
Not too fond of that colorful plasticky look^^;
Had to fix my post there, Yuiko/Haruka was June. Kureha and Komari/Kud are July ^^"
But I agree, the bases could use some work. And maybe stick to a single color scheme if anything :p
I've always been a bit skeptical about the quality of FuRyu figures. I only own one, being Kyou Fujibayashi from CLANNAD. The quality seemed mediocre to me. And since I wasn't so figure savvy back then, I ended up paying double the price I should have for her, which left me even more disappointed. ;-;
But I pre-ordered the set of FuRyu Angel Beats figures anyway. For the price, I guess I can't complain much.
Great post, let's hope Yuri and Kanade turn out nicely~.
I certainly hope they'll have achieved perfection when Kanade and Yuri are out!
Then there's also the GSC Kanade that will burn my wallet..
The only FuRyu figure I currently own is their Key 10th Memorial Misuzu. I've got a few others ordered but haven't recieved them yet. But Misuzu is decent for a prize figure, no leaning yet, and I've had her since her release.
