Shining Wind Seena Bikini Ver.
Tony Taka's work is once again realised with Max Factory's Bikini Version of Seena.

Seena is 1/7 scale so she looks rather large compared to other figures on my shelf. Not to worry though, she will soon be joined by Max Factory's Kureha Bikini Version and Tony Taka's Miku Hatsune. Both are 1/7 scale.
What that extra size presents you with is added detail, Tony Taka's is a master of anatomy and compared to other anime artists his girls proportions are much more true to life. To keep the detail in Seena's eyes and downscale the figure to 1/8 scale would have been extremely difficult, you have to respect Max Factory's desire to get it right.

Max Factory have really nailed the facial expression and the pose here. The detail on the eyes is excellent, I do with the hair had slightly more depth in colour though. In some light the hair can look like it was all painted one colour, in fact it has a subtle shade to it.

The same can not be said about the skin however. The tones of the skin are great and really make this figure look like Tony Taka's work.

I really love the pose. Her skirt is actually removable, Seena pulls apart from just under her bikini top so that you can lift the skirt off over the waist. These next photos should give a good sense of how tall she stands and the overall proportions.

Hi! Sorry, I'm not going to comment on the figure (which is excellent btw), but I followed the link to your blog and saw the pictures of Fuji (couldn't see a way to PM). They really are amazing. I was in Kawaguchi-ko in late May and its amazing to see how much the mountain can change. When it finally emerged from cloud was one of the most beautiful sights I've seen and looking at your photos brings back that same sense of wonder. There's some big sense of majesty to this mountain.
Hi! Thanks for checking out my blog! Sorry you need to sign up to be able to PM or comment :P I loved Kawaguchiko. I still don't think the photos I took managed to do Fuji any justice, the scale of the mountain dominates anything else around it. It would be nice to see your photos to compare, I can imagine that Kawaguchiko looks really vibrant in May.
u gotta update ur blog for the 6 weeks u where there in Japan, just reading Kawaguchi-ko i wanna know more about what else u got up too. give us details about transport, cost, hotel and food = ) etc plz so we can use ur info for future planning. never been to Hakone except looking at mount fuji on the train
6 week.... i get bored and wish i was home after 2 weeks. no matter where i am in the world i always look forward to going home.
I'll get some more content up soon. I spent two weeks in Tokyo when I was 19 and I got bored fairly quickly, I didn't get bored on this latest trip because we were moving around so often. I don't think we spent more than three nights in one place. In total we visited about 40 different places
damn damn damn, i was trying really hard to not buy this one.
Awesome figure! Congrats!
N-I-C-E . . . wedgie "sand"al . . . 8O

Gorgeous figure~ Another figure I wish to get but can't.
Tony-based figures are top-notch.
I owning her too
her face is so cute as well as the hairstle
you've chosen very nice angles of her for your pictures ;)
Excellent photoshoot of this Max Factory's Seena. She looks great and the pose is very nice too.
So what?
Are you planning to get Clalaclan or Xecty besides Kureha?
Thanks! Unfortunately I won't be getting the other two. I wasn't as taken with them as Seena and Kureha, that and as much as I would love to own every figure I like my budget won't allow it :(
Other than Kureha I'll be getting BRS Nendoroid and Good Smile's Yui from Flyable Heart soon.
