Snow Miku Nendoroid

Posted by phoenixqueen

My Snow Miku Nendoroid finally came in! I've been waiting for this since I ordered her in February. I noticed there seemed to be a small drop in quality. The back top of the hair has visible seam lines in the sculpt, which is odd since none of my other Nendoroids have that. The paint was also a little sloppy, especially around the blue trim on her vest. Black paint from her headphones stuck to her face, and dust was in the paint. There was molding flash on the leak and the ends of some joints. When I stood her next to my Nendoroid Kagamiku, Snow Miku feels unpolished. (In case you're wondering, she's not a bootleg, I checked her stand and facial expression against the fake ones posted online). I was a little disappointed since she's a limited edition figure, but she's still pretty! I snapped a few quick photos, they're not very good, but please enjoy!

Slight drop in quality? To me i think it's because of the color scheme itself which made the seam line look more visible than the original miku (lighter and semi-transparent mint-like color).

How much did you get her for? It's quite expensive here at my place since it's an exclusive -around 6600-7000 yen. Wants, i dun have a nendo miku yet.... >.<

That could be true about the color. The seam lines don't both me as much as the dust in the paint though, but I'll chalk it up to it being a factory made product. I got her for 6500 yen from Tokyohunter.

one way of telling the fake from the original is the box, on the real box the snow fakes are textured. run ur finger through the fakes to feel the texture, if its flat with no texture then its a fake.

I know, I saw that article from Good Smile comparing the bootleg and the real one. I touched the snow flakes just in case haha, but it's real.

It's not just you, I realized I should have turned the hand a bit more so it's straighter instead of twisted. Now it looks like she has a broken wrist lol.

I have to agree with you on the quality of Snow Miku. I noticed the same paint imperfections you did. Thought it was just me. But still love the figure non the less.

snow miku's unpolished? '___' she's glossier than any nendoroid i've ever seen nyah :3 i have to agree on the line above her head though^^ the black paint on her ears are easily removed by just simple cleaning nyah :3 you will notice that vocaloid nendos have this gliterry effect on the face parts. maybe that's the unpolished thing you were talking about? kagamiku's face parts doesn't have that effect though^^

Nice loot but I do feel like some parts are a bit too shiny, was there some kind of sticker in the back of the box? perhaps a H-Japan sticker?
