*IMAGE HEAVY* Anime Evolution 2010 interesting bits and parts of Day 2

In day two of Anime Evolution (AE) 2010, interesting and amazing events have happened. I find the number of great cosplays for this year's AE 2010 to be increasing. It seems with each passing year, cosplayers in the west coast and abroad are placing more time into their cosplays. I for one am happy and glad to be attending AE for the 3rd time in a row.

Today, there were many bro fists going around and wonderful cosplays! By chance, I met Lightning Sabre and a name too say after I met Lightning Saber, "Mr. Popo" :)

For an update on "The Gauntlet" tournament. Round 2 started with, 16 people from the 50 in round 1, a computer game called, "Mining Craft". At first I was wondering, "what the heck?" and this threw me off however, by luck and mining for the entire game of 45 minutes. My friend came in 7th and I made it, with 8th place, to the third round of "The Gauntlet" out of 16 contestants ha ha. In round 3 of "The Gauntlet", the console game to decide the final two contestants for the final round was....... POKEMON PUZZLE LEAGUE! Initially, they organized for SNES Bomber man however because of time, they left Bomber man out and continued to use "Pokemon Puzzle League". Instead of having two contestants at a time battling each other. The contestant with the longest survival time against, "the champion of Pokemon Puzzle League" or beating the champion will move on to the fourth final round. The only exception is that, only, two contestants will move on to the final round. The average survival time was around 30 seconds with the best time of 51 seconds. My friend was knocked out by two of the best times before my turn came. When I faced off against the champion, my survival time was 1 minute 19 seconds, longer than the organizers expected,. which was 1 minute. With the cheers of bystanders and contestants for each other, the final two to move on to the fourth final round was, Van from Escaflowne (Jess of Victoria, Canada) and me.
Tommorow in the closing ceremonies of Anime Evolution 2010, the final round of "The Gauntlet" will take place and the winner of "The Gauntlet" will be decided there.

Relating to the industry panels (a must for large well known conventions), I managed to squeeze in some time to get into the Funimation Industry Panel and I am pleased with what Funimation has in store for us in North America. To sum it up! Strike Witches season 2, Hetalia season 3 and 4 including the movie, Eden of the East, Summer Wars, Master of Martial Hearts, Casshern Sins, My Bridge is a Mermaid (also known as Seto no Hanayome), Evangelion movie 2.22 have been licenced and are expected for release within 2011! I for one am excited for Strike Witches season 2, Summer Wars, Eden of the East, Casshern Sins, Master of Martial Hearts and Evangelion 2.22. After the Funimation Industry Panel, I met Adam Sheehan of Funimation. After the panel I competed in round two of "The Gauntlet". When round two finished, we were given a break of 1 and a half hours. I used the time to look in the dealers room and picked up two doujins to add to my convention loot, both I am extremely happy with. After the break, round 3 began the 2 finalists were selected. From there my friend and I went to see an exclusive preview of "NiN10Doh! to the 64th Power" which was absolutely AMAZING and I can not wait for the final product! When the panel finished I met up with the creator of the NiN10Doh! series and ended the day with another bro fist.
