Good thing you dumped her, Kaito :D Now, I have to listen to Miku's "When The First Love Ends" all over again. Thanks for posting this, the original song is nostalgic :)

And yes, I experienced this kind of thing before. Kinda hard to make her understand my hobby. Hahahaha, who cares? I get what I want now anyway :3

I have impressed the phrase "Sure I'm an Otaku but at least I'm happy". Don't even remember where I read it XD

this is why I'm not rushing to get a gf though it's really nice to have someone with you when you go out for a stroll in a mall or a meal. I'm in a medicine college -expect bookworm nerds and gals who look down on weirdos like me. I envy couples who share the same hobby... >.<

I've never seen the need for a girlfriend before. Aren't they really expensive to maintain? It'd cut in on my gunpla budget.

Depends on the girl really. Some girls are very demanding while some girls are just happy to be loved.

I agree on this. But I think women like companionship more...? But if its another otaku we're talking about, that could be an another story.

O_o Dude, I don't mean to be overly sensitive, but that's like....incredibly offensive o_O You don't "maintain" a girlfriend, like she's a figure or a model kit or something, you enjoy having someone around to love and care for you, and if the girl isn't like, incredibly materialistic, that should be enough. If she is incredibly materialistic, let her buy her own stuff xD Plus, if you love that person, you don't normally mind spending a couple bucks to get them ice cream, or buy them a little trinket just because they wanted it. The emotional support you get from being with that person should also be worth far more than a Gunpla budget o.O

Not trying to start an argument or anything, just stating my opinion...

I haven't had that happen to me. I'm pretty up front with my interests when courting the ladies (when I can work the courage up to do so).

I suppose that my only concern would be if a girlfriend found out how much of an otaku I am. Everything that I'm into seems normal to me, but admittedly might be a little too weird to a non-otaku.

Well, thats how we met xD

Although I wouldn't call myself quite an "otaku", I do have interests in anime/manga. She was surprised because she thought she'd never find anyone with the same interests.
