My First Figure: Momohime

About a month ago I posted wondering whether I should order my first figures. Well, I did.
My first thought upon opening Momohime up was "Oh crap, her hands fell off, that's really creepy!" (I knew that the hands were interchangeable beforehand, but something about seeing her without them gave me chills. At least this wasn't a figure with interchangeable faces - that would have probably given me nightmares.)
But after fumbling around for a while and putting her back together I was very pleased with the way she looked. Now, it being my first, I can't really comment on how nice of a figure it is comparatively - but I like it, and everyone else seems to be saying the same.

Heh, if I had to choose between the figure and my DSLR it would be a no brainier - the camera of course.
nice figure! I just recently bought my first figures/statues too, and dropped around $600 from them. And now i'm just waiting from them to ship!

Oww... Buying a figure from one of the best figure manufacturers as your first figure. I'm giving you a warning - you tend to be very picky with figures for perfection in almost every aspects in the future lol.
I don't mind if I'm picky - I really can't afford not to be ;)
It's good that you're picky. It means you're less likely to resell them if you get tired of them. Congrats on your first. What got me started was winning a nice Guilty Gear statue on eBay for 30 dollars. I couldn't believe I finally owned one of those expensive things. After getting that, the cheapo figures lost their appeal. Nothing but the best from then on, and still into the hobby since 2002.
Well, she's a vey nice figure to start your collection, now there's no turning back and, be careful, you will not realize when the number will increase.
And btw, mine was Orchid Seed's Masane Amaha back then in jun 2007. She's the guilty one.
