DD NOOB Questions( help needed T_T)
Hi guys, after exposing myself with a few months worth of Moe-ness from all the DD girls i saw in figure.fm, i've finally made up my mind to adopt my 1st daughter!!
However, i got a few newbie question abt the rather confusing lottery system.
Question 1:
Whats the difference between submitting a lottery entry and ordering straight from Volks' online store?
Question 2:
Since i stay in malaysia, and i dun think there's any local shop that handles distribution for Volks, that makes online ordering my only option, but knowing the way malaysian handle packages, i don't feel safe at all for a something this valuable.. any one from malaysia (Boleh land) had experience in this?
Question 3
If i would to adopt a daughter, i would really like it to be Saber, is there any chance that volks will have her re-release?
Question 4:
Any idea when is the next event? is there any chance that there will be a DD DeathMaster??? >_< i would reallly really like to have her!!

i used to think that i can only own a DD by winning the lottery, then i saw this .....if we can order directly, then what good is the Lottery??? (scratching my head like crazy now)

lottery untuk events je, nak kena menang baru boleh beli, kalau tak menang takde pape jadi. kalau nak beli straight dari volks cuma ada standard models yukino atau aoi (￣∇￣ )

kalau nak beli dd limited, nak kena menang lottery dulu, nanti mereka akan kasi kamu reserve nombornya setelah itu barulah boleh bi (￣∇￣ )
tetapi pernah terjadi sekali, mai dan mashiro boleh dibeli di volks secara directly kerana ada terlebih setelah after event (｀･ω･´)
Thanks Kiwira, but I left out one little question .. Does volks state the value of the product on the shipment box? Will I get charge extra on custom? :p
Usually the items sell out in the lottery (less available then people want to buy). But you're right, it looks like Mari and the other two DDs are still available this round. Also looks like Rin and Saber's swimsuits are still available.
Thanks PrettyCranium, I'm just wondering.. If there's a way to ensure the winning of the lottery ... Like submitting a few entries with different cards??? Will I be charged right after the confirmation or do I get a chance to cancel the order in case of double winning???
They check to see if you double-enter, and cancel everything if they catch you. But right now, 3 DDs are available straight out (no lottery).
To add to whats been said:
Q1: Volks make the dolls and outfits before the dolls party events based on what they think they will sell. If after the first live event and the after party events, where people can enter a lottery, if they have any left over they become available for order like regular items from the web site. This has happened before but is not very reliable. Its anybody's guess how many are available and how long until they sell out.
Q2: can't help on this one.
Q3: As far as I know Volks has never re-released a limited edition doll. they did re-release a few outfits. Almost no chance of the original Saber, but there is a very small chance that they could do a new version like Saber Lilly but it would probably have a different face mold even if they did.
Q4: Dolls Party events happen every 3 months, so the next wave of dolls should be known by around mid October. As far as what they may make, that's anybody's guess.
No, Volks did do rereleases of a few very early DD's; the first Rei had two releases, one with the swimsuit and one with the school uniform, and I know Asakura Nemu had something like three releases. However, it's been a VERY long time since Volks did anything like this. As in, I don't think they've done rereleases since they phased out the old strung DD1 body. So rereleases may be possible, but seem to be getting less and less likely.
Also, you forgot about the DD Gathering in October, which should get announcements in late September. The winter Dolpa announcements should come more like November.
Actually, as recent as last year DD Escalayer was available for more than one events, she debuted in Comiket 75 and since she was rather popular, Alicesoft and Volks agreed to make her available again in a DD Valentine event. Then again, it's a decision between the license holder and Volks.

Oh, I forgot about that! And unlike Rei and Asakura Nemu, she still came with her original outfit too. I guess there's more hope for rereleases than I thought, though I still expect that if there are rereleases they'll probably have different default outfits. *resumes wishful thinking for an Exceed Mode Nanoha release*
Well, with Osaka 6 releases being more like a flop than anything else, there might be a possibility for re-issuing, just may be. I will jump on the wagon for a Saber Alter to add to my growing F/SN DD squad.
