Sumika Times Blog features Manami!
This is just a random picture I had of Manami in bed on a Sunday morning browsing online. The cats were keeping her feet warm. :D
As most of you know, I adopted Manami from DeadlyGambit here on Figure.fm. Having Manami as my daughter has taught me many things and being a member here has also taught me much. But my friendship with DeadlyGambit was what has made me very happy. She and I talk often about Dollfies and such and we get along great. Had it not been for her, I would never have had the chance to adopt Manami and have her make such a big impact on me.
So a few weeks ago, DeadlyGambit said I should send Volks a letter telling them about the background of Manami and how I came to adopt her. She said Volks really enjoyed hearing from thier fans and customers so I asked DeadlyGambit to give me info on Manami and the circumstances of her going up for adoption. I included all that info in my letter to Volks along with some links to pictures of her I had online. I also made sure to tell Volks that while I am her adopted father, DeadlyGambit is the one that built her and did her wonderful faceup.
I sent off the email and quickly heard back from them. They wanted to use her in the Customer Gallery and share her with thier customers! I was extremely happy about it and so was DeadlyGambit. I told them please use whatever pictures they wanted to and let me know when they updated. Well I got that notice today from Manamis mom and was very happy to see them have her up there! They actually updated the site on my B-day! What a nice present!
Unfortunately, they didn't really go into details of Manamis backstory and made no mention of DeadlyGambit at all. :( So I just wanted to take this time to formally say that I am extremely happy I was able to adopt Manami and without her help, I would not be where I am today. So thank you Nicole, I appreciate everything you have done for me and Manami and I hope we continue to share her adventures in the future!

Nah, she's usually very laid back and sweet. But she can get a bit upset at times and when she is in a bad mood, watch out! :^)

Congrats and a belated Happy Birthday!!! It's cute seeing Manami in bed with everything a cute girl needs - her cell phone, laptop, a cute stuffed bunny, and her Glock! haha
Thank you! And yes, she always makes sure to have everything she may need at hand while I am at work. Altho this wasn't a workday, she says she feels better when she has all her goodies by her side. ^_^

It's a Glock made by Dragon but I am not positive on the exact model. You may be correct but I am not good enuff at my weapons ID to say yes or no. :)

Thank you! her mother sent that dress with her. It's a Volks Bunny outfit, I just didnt have the bunny ears on her in this picture. It's a very nice outfit tho, I really think it goes well with her eyes.

I just read thier info about it and hwile it doesn't specifically say you have to be in the US to send them pictures, it does mention US customers and how they cant all travel to the Volks USA stores. Email them and ask if you can submit pictures, it can't hurt to ask and I am sure they will be very nice about it, they were with me.

Ha ha! Thank you! I got lucky with that picture as I was just walking into the room and noticed them laying there. I ran back to get the camera and get a shot before the cats got up and left. I think Manami had th egun out so the cats wouldn't try and lay on her. ^_^

Thank you! That laptop set is a very cool item and was pretty cheap too, only about $40 USD. It was purchased at American Girl. I got the cellphone off ebay for $10 shipped.
