Ita-Laptop project: The Build
This is the build of my Touhou themed Ita-laptop featuring Remilia Scarlet.
As I said before, I was given an old laptop that, with only minor repair works fine.
Inspired by another FM'r, I decided to give it a go..
As always, feel free to tag or comment..

The victim: A Clevo built Eurocom M375C Centrino based laptop, circa mid 2005.
Celeron 1.5g CPU
1 gig ram
40gig HDD
DVD burner
Intel ABG Wi-Fi card.
Bluetooth
Web cam
As you can see, I've already selected the wallpaper for this unit.

The unit as it looks closed. The back cover has that plastic insert in the middle that had to come out. It was filled with Tamiya epoxy putty and sanded flush with wet or dry sanding film. All the original paint had to be removed prior to painting.. several hours in the kitchen sink under cold water later...

.... I could start to prime and paint the plastics with a new colour. In this case, I chose Tamiya Pure White in spray cans...
Here are the battery (upright) and the top and bottom cases. the top case had to have several led lenses and the power and trackpad buttons removed prior to sanding..

And these are the CPU and HDD/RAM/Wi-Fi covers after painting.

Here we have the front LCD cover (complete) and the back cover ready for the skin.
The glue propping up the front cover is what I use for all plastic work that require strength.

Here we have the completed Top Case with the palm rest skin, trim plastics and buttons installed and the whole thing clear coated 5 times

Here is the LCD panel completely assembled just before being attached to the top case in the back ground. Completed bottom case is to the left. You can make out the main board next to the top case.

And here is the chassis with the mainboard installed and all the cables routed and secured.

Final assembly completed. (rear view)

It's Alive!!!! {Bwahahahaha!}

Back LCD cover view of the skin as voted by you guys and gals. This also had five clear coats.

I even painted the DVD burner front bezel to match the system..

And a final look at the finished machine. It turned out better than I hoped.

Well done m8, very nice.
You're using paper sticker right?
Vinyl, actually. It was custom ordered from www (dot) skinit (dot) com.

Is this plastic sticker is expensive & good to print in a gloss colors?any computer shop or bookstore are available that?
The large one on the back was about $35.00 USD before shipping. And yes, it has 5 coats of clear paint over it, but not really necessary...

Not really.. I've seen pro work that looked like glass.. there are a lot of little flaws that I didn't too much about.. If I did this again, I think I'd try to find a better quality paint...
