Can you believe she's only worth 3200 yen at Amazon.jp right now?
I bought her for full price a while back which was something like 7000 yen and it didn't take long for the price to fall to what it is now.
The Hatsune Miku VN02 was also over 60% off at one point and so were other figures that didn't quite meet people's expectation. Or maybe they just made them too much?
Since I'm satisfied with her quality that doesn't matter much now, but you know 4000 yen is a lot of difference. Enough to buy another figure or two :(
Anyways, here's some pics of her...
Perhaps Amazon was expecting these specific figures to lose their value. So instead of waiting for the items to be sold, they just decided to sell these on a cliff-dive price while there's still a bit of the fan hype.
I think they lose less in these clearance sales than risking a forever stocked item. XD
Yeah, maybe so. Figures these days lose value quite quickly as anime and eroge are consumed and disposed of at a much faster rate. There are exception to those that doesn't seem to lose popularity.
But still. Doesn't feel good when they do stuff like that ToT
Maybe I'll just have to learn.
I think that it's better that it drops in price rather than increase. ^ ^;

It's part of the figure company's attempt to prevent resalers from buying up all the items in stock I think. They make more than the actual demand and when they do this is what you get.
Same with Azunyan nenndoroid which was like 1300 yen a while back^^;
It's also less of a pain to ship locally, there's so much red tape and hassle to deal with via customs. I personally thought both figures were excellently made; if the price of VN02 does drop, I'll pry pick up another one. She's the gem of my collection.
Yeah, from what I heard on the posts made here on concerning problems at the custom it must be quite the havoc^^;

i got my VN02 from amazon jp a few days ago for 5400 yen -ish its still dropping now the price o.O

Damn, that's cheap! I'd buy her for that price as well, but unfortunately Amazon.jp doesn't seem to ship it internationally. Everywhere else the price seems to be at least 9000 yen 0_o. I hope the price starts dropping at other stores as well (that DO ship internationally)

I think it's better to buy as it is now before it goes out of stock.
lucky i didnt buy her when i saw it in akihabara =) when home saw it on amazon and instant buy for me heh. yeah diff sellers with diff price but i only buy from amazon, not sure about the qualities of other sellers =\ still a good deal, around 60% discount?
Other than Amazon.jp I use Hobby Stock and AmiAmi depending on how much it is discounted. AmiAmi and Hobby Stock has a better deal during pre-order with it's discounts (sometimes 20% off) but after it's release Amazon's a much better deal.
Guess it depends on how fast you want to it on your doorstep^^;

I meant for him(riipah) to order it from a dealer he is familiar with before it goes out of stock cause they likely won't lower the price like Amazon.jp did^^;
I haven't used any of those proxy services before. I prefer convenience over cost and having a third person in between has felt too much of a hassle. But in this case it might actually be worth it...
