Fresh from the Dark Room: Momohime

Posted by monev

I originally ordered Momohime not knowing anything about the character and what I've recently come to understand is that it is disgustingly easy to get great photographs out of her. All around its just a great figure to have.

There is literally no set up for these pictures other then putting the camera on a tripod. the only lights used are my computer monitor, my cell phone, and my TV, and the back drop is the blank wall on the other side of the room.

I loaded up a predominantly purple image on my monitor so the light would naturally set off the colors in the figure. those lights you can see the LEDs form my cable box, stereo amp, and PS3.

The blue behind the figure is just shine from my TV during an apparently blue stent of show. I added some light to "the dark side" using the screen on my cellphone, ( known as a 'fill-light')

generally the same as the previous image, only during a different commercial.

The TV is turned off, and i dropped the saturation like a rock for more of a moonlit look. (I would love for this to be my last sight before being assassinated)

after making the final adjustments to this one i couldn't help but get the Bad Apple song stuck in my head.

Here's a picture of the non-"set up" i took with my cell phone. So other then the tripod and the camera itself, there is literally nothing to it at all.

I really like this figure, it's on my ever growing list of ones I want to get eventually.
I love your shots, especially the one with the blue background. It works so well with the figures contrasting colors and making them just pop.
