Boosting the Fighting Core
It's really been a while since my last assembly of any Gunpla kits. I got this MG Core Booster Version KA about a month ago alongside my other loots, but only spent a small portion of my free times weekly to work on it sparingly...
Finally finished it last week, but once again postponing its documentation up until now, as today is a national holiday on my island thus I got the time off work... XDc
Core Booster is an add-on pack of various weaponry for Victory Gundam released some time ago...
There's also a bundled package combining both victory and Core Booster together in one called Victory Dash Version KA, but I don't need another Victory do I? XDc
Sleek and full of armament, Core Booster is perhaps the most down-to-earth aircraft design ever in any Gundam series, sporting a standard triangular shaped jet fighter-esque of modern real life design...
Core Booster features a total of 5 hard points where you can mount its assortment of weaponry...
The hard points are located on both sides of its wings and another one underneath the craft's belly...
Core Booster is actually a Core Fighter docked with an extension chassis that forms the bulk of the aircraft which will be later transformed into Victory's Overhang Pack...
As you may notice, Core Booster is significantly smaller than the TIE Interceptor-esque cloak-shaped 0-Raiser, but filled with details as it is a Master Grade... XDc
Similar to that of Core Booster Version KA, the 0-Raiser was released separately as an add-on to complement 1/100 00 Gundam, turning it into 00-Raiser...
Size comparison with another aircraft in my arsenal of Gunpla - 1/100 0-Raiser...

As stated before, Core Booster comes with many gadgets for Victory to temper with...
With another couple of Core Fighters that came along with the Core Booster, I have two pairs of the Gundam heads in total now... @_@
The first of the armament is the Beam Javelin, the only melee weapon Victory has besides its standard Beam Sabres...
A pity there's no clear beam effects included for that special feel... >,<
Next up is my favourite: The Gatling Gun...
Had to spray paint it with black spray can due to my failed attempt at painting it (Resulting in uneven patches of paint... ^^;) in dark grey using Gundam marker...
Simple transformation is needed to deploy the Gatling Gun for Victory's use, secured onto its arm using its red Beam Shield Pack...
Seen earlier underneath Core Booster's belly is the Beam Smart Gun.
Minor transformation is needed to slide out the barrel forming an intimidating looking weapon...
I wonder what's so smart about it... :3c Looks more like a Railgun to me... :Dc
Coming up next is this couple of Beam Cannons, which is a legacy from F91 (Both series are set in the Universal Century Era of which Mobile Suit V Gundam TV series is a canon-sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam F91 movie...)...
Both of these Beam Cannons are to be fitted upon Victory's side hips armour, resembling that of Freedom Gundam's belt Railguns... XDc
Finally, we have a pair of Missile Pods and a couple of one-use Disposable Bazookas...
As mentioned before, all of these can be attached to all the available hard points on Victory, however the earlier MG doesn't have the holes to hold them in place.
Luckily Core Booster comes with a couple of extra pieces that can be swapped with the ones located on each side of Victory's legs, allowing mounting of these weaponry...
The same cannot be said for the ones located on Victory's elbows tho... Four unused hard points wasted... >,<

I find it weird that the verniers of the Core Booster points up when transformed into Victory's Overhang Pack... ^^;
So I changed its direction... Mmmm... Looks more like it, now it's truly DASHing...!!! XDc

Oh man. Now I want to build this. Great post. I loved the transformation sequence. Question! I noticed you panel-lined but did you paint this kit or just clean, panel line, and decal?
Only clean built + panel lining + dry transfer decal...
Awesome job! Shows how great MGs are (almost) straight out of the box if you know what you're doing!
Next, all we need from Bandai is a MG V2 Assualt Buster :DDD

100% disappointed with the original fixed posed fingers included with Victory...
Decided to change into the articulated ones from my arsenal of spares from previous kits...
Nice photos and good posing all around! Don't mean to be a smartass, but those thruster things that you had pointing downward are actually its main armament in this configuration, the Overhang Cannons. That said, the transformation sequence is surprisingly well done.
True, thus it's kinda weird to have verniers as cannons... ^^;
But Crossbone had its Beam Sabres as guns in Core Fighter mode, I can't complain... XDc
they arent verniers, they are beam cannons that point backwards in core-booster mode.
the main thrusters of the core booster is the black pod underneath the cannons.

Original V's is white... The blue ones comes with Core Booster, indicating a HEXA unit according to the manual...
