August Loot/New Room

Posted by adzpearson [www]

It's been a while since my last post. My family and I moved house a month ago, so I haven't had the 'net for a while (how I'm still sane is beyond me...). It finally appeared yesterday, so I can now post up everything I've bought during the time I was offline. I'm also including some pics of how everything is set up now.

New Stuff:

Figma Isayama Yomi
Figma Black Rock Shooter
Jun Planning Revy
Formation Arts Chrono Trigger Set
Display Cabinet ^_^
3 Bookcases

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

One of the new bookcases I've bought. I'm using it mainly for my gashapon/trading figures.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

A nice mixture of figures on top of the bookcase. So glad I was finally to buy that Revy figure. I saw it listed on MyFigureCollection and pounced straight away. She's the 2nd most expensive figure I've bought to-date (£60), but she was worth it. ^_^

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

One Piece collection. I plan to add more to it eventually.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Final Fantasy collection. I have my doubts about the larger Trading Arts figures being real, but I don't really mind that much.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Mixture of trading figures from Dragonball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist and Death Note. There's also a small Prey figurine that came free with the copy I bought from Gameplay a while back.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Another mixed shelf featuring characters from Steamboy, Evangelion, Gintama, Genshiken, School Rumble, Detroit Metal City and Cromartie High School. Also pictured is a figure of Jason from the 'Jason and the Argonauts' game (one of the random prizes from my university's Gamer Quiz in the summer)

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

My two other bookcases. DVDs to the left, games to the right.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Ash, Jojo and Star Platinum guarding their respective DVDs.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Really happy with the Chrono Trigger set. I like how they're based on old art used for the game.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

...MY DISPLAY CABINET! ^_^ With my new room being much larger than my old one, I finally had the room for one. Wasn't cheap (£92), but I'm really happy with it.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Some random stuff from the Japan trip earlier this year (along with a pile of Yen which I'll be taking with me next August).

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Lucky Star shelf. Konami ftw!

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Mixed shelf with Ein, Kagura and Yomi (Kagomi?) and Reika.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room
Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Black Rock Shooter. On her own at the moment, but Dead Master will be joining her soon.

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Haruhi shelf. Bit crowded already ^_^;;

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

Marisa. Sakuya will be joining her soon (and Reimu when I get round to buying her).

Mouseover = load notes.
August Loot/New Room

It's the 'Mesousa and Kami-on-a-can' set-up again. :D

      One of my favourite figmas. I picked it up relatively cheap, which was a bonus. I originally had her posing with Haruhi, but then Black Rock Shooter came along...XD I had to move around some of the figmas.

      My personal favourite is "Groovy!" XD I love the Evil Dead series (well, 2 and AoD more than the first). I also own two of the games (even if they aren't that good).

          My only regret is paying £30 for the first game (Hail to the King on the PS1). I bought it when it first came out, hence the price. Me and my brother completed in the same day...-_- Ash's funny one-liners kind of made up for it, but still... As for the sequel, the gameplay wasn't that bad, but long unskippable FMV sequences combined with rare save points forced me to give up on it eventually. I didn't pay that much for it, so I didn't really mind.

          Still need to get the third game. It's probably really cheap now.

      I'm so impressed with the display cabinet that I'm going to get another one at some point. I'm going to need one sooner than later anyway...XD

      As for your saving problem, you could try asking someone else to hold onto a bit of your money. That way, you won't physically have the money and you'll be less likely to spend it. Give it a try. :D

      I bought it second-hand from a seller on MyFigureCollection. Didn't come boxed, but it was in good condition. It was a bit fiddly to set-up, mind (gun kept on falling out of his hands for one). I'm glad I have a figure of him, though. He's my favourite anime character.

      I agree. :D That shelf I had in the old house ended up being incredibly crowded and a lot of the figmas were hiding behind other figmas. In fact, I'm happy with the way my figures are being displayed in general. The extra space in my new room has really helped.

        It might just be the angle of the photo.
        I dunno, I'm always a priss when it comes to posing figmas just perfectly.

          Don't worry, I can relate to perfectionism. XD I have to have some things just right or it distracts me. Maybe not to the extent of Death the Kid (extreme perfectionism), but it bugs me.

      I have more Everton stuff scattered across the room. I've always supported them. ^_^ Tim Howard is a key player for them. He rarely lets the team down.

      Talking of American players, I'm still hoping Landon Donovan will return one day. He really impressed me during the few games he had whilst he was on loan. It looks as though he wants to return himself, which is a good sign. :D

      I bought it from a seller on a site called Rakuten. In fact, Chris (one of my friends and the guy who posted the first comment) pointed it out to me as he knew I was after it. It's a very rare Nendoroid, so I had to pay about £60 (and a bit more thanks to customs -_-). I think it was worth it, though. :D

      As for availability, I haven't seen it on Rakuten since. It does appear on eBay now and again, but it's usually £100+!
