Amaha Miu - My first Dollfie

Posted by cryptonics [www]

I've been collecting figures for a while now and have built a small collection. Recently I stumbled upon DannyChoo.com, I was completely blown away by his "Daughters" and was really interested in getting one. However I, as I bet everyone does, got sticker shock when I saw how large an investment a single daughter is. I thought I could hold off and wait a year or so and just save up for one.

Then Danny Choo made his post about Amaha Miu Dollfie, and more importantly pointed out that one was still for sale at Dollfie World. I told myself that if it was still available after work the following day I would adopt her. As fate would have it, she was still available following work so I put in the order and she arrived today. Below are the first pictures of Miu in her new home.

Miu is much larger then all my figures so she wont fit in my light box... But she seems much more natural outside of the box....

I molded it to her head before putting the wig on, and then I bent it just a little bit more on the edges to hold on better. After that it was all about finding the perfect resting spot.

(All times are in Hawaii time -1000GMT)
I paid for her on 30AUG at 1730, she shipped 31AUG at 0030 , and was in my home by 02SEP at 1600. SO the entire process was very quick! The only downside I felt of the whole thing was that Dollefie World will charge a 3.5% "tax" if you pay using PayPal. All other methods had warnings about taking longer to process.

Thanks for the infor and very detailed one as well. =D

Congratulations on your first daughter!!! She is adorable. After seeing Danny's article I also went to Dollfie World to check her out but couldn't bring myself (or my wallet) to get her at this time. I'm glad she found a good home.

Congratulations! And welcome to the dark side, we have 1/3 scale cuteness. :)

I don't know if anyone knows the answer to this, much less you, but what is that little creature she comes with? I keep thinking it's what happens when you cross a jack russell terrier with a chinchilla. . .

Her name is Pannya, mascot on the logo of the game and also follows/brings Miu around.

Should probably add that they don't list quantity available so once they are gone that's it. But guess there was a surplus following the After Event.

Hey thanks for the tip! I went ahead and put in a lottery entry for her everyday clothes... I hope that is easier to get then the actual doll.

Clothing is going to impact your wallet as well! I sometimes spend so much on clothing that I could probably buy another DD. XD

Very nice that you were able to get her! I am pretty sure that adopting daughters has a great deal of fate woven into it regardless of what we may think. I know fate got me my Manami and things just seem to work in my favor for getting her things.

So you being able to get your new daughter was probably in the cards anyway. ^_^ I'm glad you could join the proud parent ranks here at figure.fm and we all will look forward to pictures from you and her in the future! She does seem very glad to be home with you now.
