Once a skeptist, now a proud owner
My first encounter with these Dolfie Dream was in Chou Dai blog few years back and my first impression was.......well, I think those who read his blog would get the picture^^;
However, after seeing beautiful pictures of them here at figure.fm and DC I couldn't help myself from getting one of them to come to my home. A common phenomenon here I guess
and this is result. My first daughter Akiyama Mio (DD)
She came with the summer clothes guitars and everything all in pristine condition.
Since she was my first Dolfie I marveled at every piece that came with her. Shirts, shoes, wig and awed at the craftsmanship behind it.
Putting her clothes on took forever though^^;
Her default wig and clothes were great really but I had other things on mind so....
....and so I went to Volks in Akihabara for new wig (＋stand)
With no experience in neither hair trimming nor Dolfie Dream customization this process also took forever :(
Couldn't find the black hair ribbon to go with her white hair so I colored the ribbon that came with the uniform pitch black and stuck it to her wig. I think it went well^^;
She's still under construction but ultimately she's going to look something like this

All I need now are some fine clothing to go with her.
hmm....anybody know where I can get clothes for DD in Japan? An actual store would be helpful since I prefer looking at the actual product before purchasing them^^;

Not sure I will adopt a second one since I want this Mio to get the best of everything but hey, that's what everyone says in the beginning right?^^;

Congrats on Mio! The makeover is looking good, the alternate wig really suits her! As for physical shops in Japan to buy clothes I would go to the actual Volks store which are located all over the Tokyo area(you can visit their site and find these locations) and then there is Azone, located in Akihabara, who make clothing for DDs as well just look for clothing that fit 50-60cm. There is also the Nakano Broadway as well.

Ah, the Volks store. I've been to the one in Akihabara but wasn't quite able to find clothes I like. Or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough...the place is a maze^^; Will take a look into Nakano Broadway tomorrow since it's a couple station away.

No problem, anything to "help". XD Don't forget to check Azone in Akihabara as well, the shop is located 1 floor below the Volks store, if I remember correctly. They have a lot of nice clothing there as well!

That's one of the reasons I chose her to be my first daughter. Whether it be blonde or green it suited her pretty well as far as I can tell from the posts here.

When Mio came out in DD mode I knew I had to get her, the thing was exactly WHEN though? Then I came across your beautiful and cute stories and the want increased dramatically. Now at this time I am getting my own Mio Akiyama. It would be another few weeks until she arrives but that's all right. I am glad to have come across beautiful Sora in her past like state.
