Maze Fireworks Festival

The Maze fireworks festival is in the town of Maze, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It's one of the largest fireworks festivals in Japan, but no one outside of Japan seems to know about it. It takes place every year on the last Saturday of August.

wow how do you take it so nice?
The key for me was getting a stable area to put my tripod up, then setting the aperture to like F.8 or so and running the exposure time to between 3-5 seconds.
Composition was a lot of trial and error because of the different heights that fireworks explode at.
awesomely done! i shall go next year.. hehe. the fireworks display in utsunomiya wasnt really impressive
Amazing photos. I can never get them as clear as yours. It's too bad we don't have summer festivals like Japan does in my (foggy) area.
