Anime Series That Could've and Should've Lasted Longer.
With most Anime Series, I've been fine with their length and endings.
But there are some I think Could've and Should've Lasted Longer.
Here's my Top 5 Anime Series That Could've and Should've Lasted Longer.

Skip Beat!
Info:
It's about a wistful yet cheery 16 year old girl named Kyoko who lives
with her childhood friend and music star Shotaro who ends up betraying her.
Unlike most girls, she sheds little tears and instead vows vengeance on Shotaro. How will she go about this, you ask?
Well, She'll climb the showbiz ladder in order to become
a bigger star than Shotaro in the hopes of revenge and finding herself in the end.
How I started Watching it:
It was one of the first anime series that I watched Subbed (subtitled) besides Naruto Shippuden
when I began to really get in anime.
I was getting bored of waiting for new episodes of Naruto and Skip Beat aired a few days before
and Naruto was the only series I was really watching at the time, so while waiting I decided to to check out Skip Beat.
I enjoyed Skip Beat immensely for it's characters and story.
I also liked how it explored the entertainment industry and acting business.
Why It Could've & Should've Lasted Longer:
Like most anime, it started out as a manga (comic) which is still ongoing (I think) and then became an anime.
The Anime's First (and only) Season covered the first Story Arc and last aired on March 29, 2009.
Many people, including myself have hoped that they will make another Season because there is so much of the story left to tell.
I've read a good portion of the manga where the anime left off and it's a shame the anime series didn't continue.

School Rumble
Info:
It's a romantic comedy about a naive school girl named Tenma who has a major crush on a fellow student Karasuma,
while the juvenile delinquent and total bad a$$ Harima is totally in love with Tenma.
It's pretty much a "Love Triangle" and there's whole lott'a hilarity unlike other shows where it's all drama.
How I started Watching it:
When I first went to watch this series, I thought it was going to be this show where students from different schools
would fight each other and the cast consisted of mostly of female characters.
I liked School Rumble much more than what I thought it was going to be.
Especially after I saw what I just told you about above...I watched a few episodes of that and it was really lame.
Though I did like the girl with the blue hair and eye-patch. That was it though.
Why It Could've & Should've Lasted Longer:
The Anime ended just as the Manga did and lasted for three seasons long with some OVAs in between.
But the third season was only 3 episodes long instead of the usual 24 episodes per Season
and because of that a lot of what happened between seasons 2 and 3 was left out.
On the first episode of the 3rd Season they did try to recap what had happened between the two seasons.
But what I and lot of fans of the series would have appreciated a full 3rd Season, but they did give us an definite ending.
If you wanna know what the other three are, check out the rest of my post here

Post your thoughts here or there.
So, what's your top 5 Anime Series That Could've and Should've Lasted Longer?

Full Metal Panic!
Genshiken
Kannagi
Detroit Metal City
and my No. 1...
LUCKY STAR!!! (obviously...)
I need to watch season 2 of School Rumble. I loved season 1!
Definitely Lucky Star.
I hope there's Kannagi season 2 too. I feel Angel Beats! could be a little longer ^^'
Bamboo Blade
Fruits Basket
Lucky Star
Minami-ke
Ouran High School Host Club
Ah yes!!! Bamboo Blade, agree 100%. I need more Tama-chan.
For me it is Lucky Star, because Lucky Star could go on and on, and I would've never grown tired of it!!
Toradora seems like it has potential for a sequel! :P
You know, Vol. 8 of Lucky Star is going to be released soon~
Pokemon. First few episodes were great. They could've done PokeSpe as the show instead...
Maria+Holic
NHK ni Youkoso!
Death Note.
But I guess it's fine, I don't usually watch anime with too many episodes.
NANA
Fruits Basket
I second Fruits Basket! So much more happened in the manga but it's much funnier to watch Tohru being silly and clumsy in the anime!
Witch Hunter Robin
City Hunter (The original)
Evangelion
Ranma 1/2
Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X)
These are probably the ones I'd like to see more of.
The true last arc for RurouKen needs to be animated... >.<
Fruits Basket totally should have gone on longer. The ending of the anime is a bit abrupt, and when you look at the manga you see why it feels like that--the manga actually goes on for another 10+ volumes after the anime ends! It really gets more into the drama too.
Hm, not sure what else, though I'm sure I'm missing something. Invader Zim is the only thing to pop into my head though, I think because of the recordings and scripts that wafted onto the interwebs after its cancellation. When I listen/read them, I can't help but imagine how epic it would have been had it continued. . .
Ouran High School Host Club~ I need a second season!
There are definitely other anime that I'd like to see continued, but the main two that come to mind right now are Berserk and Claymore. Though, I guess the continuing manga for the two will have to suffice.
Hahahahaha I was exactly thinking Berserk and Claymore as I was scrolling down! These 2 manga series are sooo epic!
*high five
Ok so to name a few (mostly old titles lol)
Berserk
Claymore
Gantz (the anime ending was so bad compared to the epicness of the manga)
Mugen no Juunin (the 12 ep anime didn't even reach the coolest parts of the manga, it was just a prologue to the actual story...)
Tenjou Tenge
Twelve Kingdoms (I would so love to see the rest of the novels into anime)
Fruits Basket
Flame of Recca
and so much more...!
Oh I forgot, if Gunnm got a decent anime sequel that would be awesome too as the anime only covered the first 2 volumes of the manga.
I definitely agree with you on Gantz and Tenjou Tenge.
totally agree with u on school rumble. the manga is a great school romance series that is indeed very hard to find one with similar greatness (great plot, funny comedy, no stupid fanservice!!) and more railgun is good
