I'm new to the Dollfie scene but I've already browsed and seen a few haters... I think it'd be great if there was a site set aside for the exclusive use of Dollfie enthusiasts.

Unless there is a need that I'm not aware of (server load or something) I'd rather see figures and dolls be in one site. I originally came to Figure.fm for figures and other Otaku stuff and dolls were just a cute thing to look at.

I clearly remember saying to myself that people must be crazy to spend that much for a doll. haha. Of course I became hooked and now have Sakura and I'm keeping a serious eye open for my 2nd one.

If the sites were separated I don't think I would ever have fully gotten into Dollfies since I wouldn't have seen the wonderful posts by Hololo, Wolfheinrich, Chun... and many others - including Danny and his lovely Saber of course. (just my thoughts)

I personally prefer having both of them in just one site. Afterall, we have the "Dollfie" and "Dolls" specific sections for that purpose. It's also nice to see how the activity in FigureFM is a mix of both figures and dolls.

If we take away dolls from here to move them to another site, it will lessen posting activities in FigureFM which would make browsing rather... sad? XD

I guess I could say this because I hate how I check in the morning and see around 5 new posts, then when I check at night, there are only two new posts. This happens a lot during weekdays. Meaning on weekdays, in a day, there are only new 7 posts.

Now let's say we take off a HUGE chunk of the posts here in FigFM by isolating them into another website... that would mean activity in FigFM would be much lessened on weekdays. :(

I like the site as is, with a combination of dolls and figures. From what I've seen of the site so far, there haven't been any doll hate problems that stand out to me. Although like cryptonics said, its out there.

But overall I think it's nice being able to check out photos of figures and dolls in one place. People might take an interest in the variety of things posted here they might not otherwise see.

I'm not interested in Dollfies, but I don't mind seeing doll content here. I wouldn't likely frequent a separate doll site, but while it's here I check it out from time to time. If I don't want to see it, there's no one forcing me to open any posts. I think it's good having dolls and figures together because it broadens the scope and allows two potentially separate communities to come together and overlap.

I like seeing Dollfie posts here on figure.fm, it adds to the mix. This might be a pain to create/code but one idea would be to create a doll.fm site and have it display all of the posts that are marked with the 'Dollfie' category. Also though, whenever somebody makes a post on doll.fm the same post is also seen on figure.fm. This way people who want to see just Dollfie's can go doll.fm but people who want to see Dollfie's and figures (me) can still look at figure.fm.

"display all of the posts here on figure.fm that are marked with the 'Dollfie' category."

Basically give doll.fm a double purpose so any Dollfie content posted on either doll.fm or figure.fm will be can be seen regardless of which site you go to.

Well have been checking out Dollfie posts the most lately, so might visit Figure.fm less if Dollfie stuff branches off.

On a separate note, Volks really needs to start making smooth bust chest pieces as option parts.
Saber looks lovely in that gear but the pointy nipples looking as if they're about to poke my eyes out kind of ruin part of the cutesy and innocent look. That's my personal taste/opinion of course.

Separating content in this case is like separating the community as a whole. Like koganinjastyle said, no one is forcing anyone to read what they don't want to read. Besides, it's quite a hassle to those who are interested in both figures and dolls. There are categories anyway so separate domains aren't really necessary.

This is how I see it as well. Personally I don't have an interest in Mechs and it's no problem for me to skip those posts when I see them. If Dolls and Figures were separate it would seem break the community a little I think.

I don't know. When I started visiting here I had absolutely no interest in Dolfies. But now I find myself viewing and commenting on a lot of the dolfie posts. They do seem to hide the figure posts though. However, I wouldn't have been exposed to Dolfies as much if they were separate. I'm really not sure which I'd prefer.

I think its fine as it is, I wouldn't have been exposed to Dolfies and other dolls if it wasn't all together. I didn't know what a Dolfie was now am trying to save for one hopefully by
    Christmas.

Would any type of doll be on the website or just Dolfie parents?

I think it's fine as it is, but you can always make it where postings at Doll.fm will appear in an column like postings from your site, that way the three will be still connected in some way without having to type in a domain name, but easily navigated back towards each other.

A Doll.fm could be a great place, especially if it's set up to be home to multiple doll types from the start--even the resin ones that don't get as much love here. On the other hand, I like that the anime-based dolls get as much love here as figures, since they often spawn from the same source material.

majority of the posts in figure.fm is about dollfies, and i for one isn't really a fan, so i have to go through posts to get to those i'm interested in.

and since a lot of the posters above, doesn't seem to wan't a different site for dollfies, perhaps a dollfie-free rss feed would suffice.

I would love to see a Doll.fm site. There really isn't a separate, main fan site for Dollfie Dream anywhere on the net. There's the Flickr community, and then on DoA most DD content is coralled into 1 or 2 threads. It makes it somewhat difficult to find info and other DD parents with everyone all spread out. I would love to see a community dedicated to Dollfie Dreams, that has separate sections for photos, arrivals, buying/selling dolls and clothing, etc. Other vinyl and even resin dolls could have their own sections, too, as a lot of DD owners have more than 1 kind of doll.

It's nice to have figure.fm integrated, but I think having the new site might allow us to branch out. Most of us would probably still visit figure.fm, anyway (I would for the Classifieds section, among others).

I really enjoy this site, and really would like to keep all the material on one place. I wasn't interested in Dolls before(infact they use to freak me out). But because of all the fantastic owners and their share of photographic art, I'm now a proud owner of DD, DD, & DD(in a few hours).
