Owens Valley Doll and "boro"

I posted some photos of my Owens Valley Doll project some time back . . . And here are some photos of the long neglected OVD . . . she will be the icon for my "boro" concept project.
The doll is carved from a willow tree branch, the arms are carved separately and "pegged" to the shoulder with wood dowels.
Thread ends need to be trimmed . . .
Boro or "rag" aesthetic . . . silhouette is similar to some Japanese ningyo . . .
Brass furniture tack are used for added decoration.
"bookindian" or the "boro" man . . . wearing "boro" style garment.
