Um, Bug?

Posted by Poofiemus [www]

Agatha has been awfully quiet lately. . . Should've known she was up to something!

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha, what are you doing with that toolbox?!
Agatha: *hums an odd little song*

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha: "Oh, I just got tired of having no assistants around, so I decided to make one. Or five."

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

. . .make one? With what?

Agatha: "Oh. Stuff."

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha: "See?"

I admit, he is pretty cute.

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?
Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha: "Fly off, Rastputin, and, um, bring me a snack."

Rasputin?

Agatha: "I don't know, he just looked like a Rasputin."

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha: "Good bug-bot!"

Holy crap, how did a bug with no opposable digits bring back that? And where did he find such tiny bread?!

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Rasputin: *bzzzzz*

I gotta admit, that ham sandwich does look pretty tasty. Good bug-bot indeed!

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha: "Rasputin! You brought something without my asking. You're fabulous!"

I'm not so sure. I mean, what IS that?

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha: "Smells okay. . ."

I still wouldn't eat it, Agatha. That looks suspiciously like something a Jägermonster would concoct out of a Sturmhalten sewer squid. ^^;

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha: "Look, dessert even!"

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Mmmm, cookie. . .

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Well, that's a pretty cool thing you made, Agatha, but. . .

Agatha: "What?"

Well, if you're going to make minions, shouldn't you make ones with opposable thumbs?

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

Agatha: "That's what Figmas are for!"

o.o Agatha. . . is. . . is this what Sparky charisma has done to Miku and Mikuru!?

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

"We're right here, Mistress!"

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

A close-up of Rasputin. (In the real world, a friend of mine made him and named him.)

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

His body is made out of Sculpy, while his gears and things came from various sources. Some of them are actually plastic painted to look metallic. ^^;

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

His wings are made with wire and fantasy film, trimmed with fabric paint to hide the edges.

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

He's even detailed underneath!

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

A closer look at the sandwich. I made it out of Sculpy the week I bought Agatha, right before she arrived. Should've put more work into the bread I think. . .

Mouseover = load notes.
Um, Bug?

More munchies! I actually made these back in last December. Planning ahead much? ^^;

      LOL! Well, not for the CIA, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if paranoid surveillance was one of Rasputin's secondary functions. .

      Heheh, thanks! I should probably try to make her a Dingbot Prime at least, but I need to make her so much other stuff. . . like underwear. ^^; And her Sturmhalten "message" dress, and a Christmas dress that I have an idea for, and her main green outfit, and and and. ^^;;;

      That clip's actually part of a pair, and I have two other pairs just like it in different colors. I thought this one would look better with the blue eyes when I changed them out. :)

    I do love it when Agatha gets bored... :3 Very nice pics of her and her bug. I am still digging that outfit as well as her new blue eyes. I can't choose between those and the greens tho, difficult much! I need one of those Rasputin -bots for my dad.... he is an entomologist so he'd dig that! :)

      Well, you can take a gander at her DA page to see if any of her other work looks as fitting; I'm sure she'd love a commission. http://dragonflymagic.deviantart.com/

        Thanks for the link! I'll certainly check it out and see what is available. My sister and I always get my Dad some silly insect related things for his B-day and Xmas. you should see his desktop at home, its covered in things like my original Transformers Insecticons, a boxed Sectaurs flying bug and rider, several figures from "A Bugs Life" and loads of other random insect toys. ^_^ Eventually the desk is going to break due to the weight of all that junk......

      Hehe, yup, I did. I even put more gloss on the slurped parts, though the effect is really subtle. I actually meant to cut a bite out of the sandwich, too, but I spaced it before I baked it. ^^;

    Just out of curiosity, what's the average Dollfie head size? Like compared to a tennis ball, a fist or something similar... My reason is Agatha needs a good pair of glasses and I'd like to try my hand at making a pair..... Seeing as I don't have a spare head sitting around, (and I won't ask anyone to send me one!! not to mention even just a DD head is a bit pricey, just to use as a template...)

      DD heads vary a bit from mold to mold, actually. Would decapitating her temporarily, placing her head next to a ruler, and taking a photo help?

      Not at the moment, but I have toyed with the idea of selling them. Mostly I'm unsure as to what to charge for them, especially since they're such a weird mix of sizes. The candy canes, on the other hand, I won't be selling; they're very fragile, and I just can't think of how I'd manage to ship them safely.
