Hi all, newbie here. I have been following Danny's post for ages and was inspired to buy a DD (as many of you can probably relate :)) A friend finally convinced me to jump on here so... here I am :) Thought I would introduce my girls, Saber Rin and Moe. Mikuru was just visiting. I was pleasantly surprised to find how many other Aussies DD owners there are that I didnt know about!!!
Animania is coming up this weekend and me and 2 other DD owners will be there so I was wondering if I might be able to convince any other owners to brings there girls along to meet us?

Im going to animania this week with friends ... and i want to bring my dd but im just worried about carrying something so expensive around with me on the train plus just wondering how safe is the tables? i wanted to walk around but not like having to carry my dd with me. maybe ill jsut come visit the tables ^^
When Im travelling i always have my girls wrapped up in a bag so nothing gets lost and damaged. In terms of having a DD at a conventions I have found it to be very safe. Most people are in awe of the dolls and always ask before taking pictures or asking to touch them. You are more then welcome to leave them at the doll table. The Doll table is organised by the Sydney members of DOA (global doll community) and faireground ( Australian doll community) records are taken when you leave a doll and the table is supervised at all times so you can be completely comfortable that they are safe. I have done this a couple of times :) There are also doll competitions, panels and often a "lucky door prize" for doll owners. Its a reaaly good opportunity to meet and see other DDs or BJDs in particular. Of the DD's that attend there is usually a Saber, Rin, Moe, Yoko, Nia, Illya, Haruhi and Erika.

hmm thats cool maybe i will bring yuki with me then, is there many doll owners going on sunday tho? since ill be going on sunday since i have work on sat.

There are a couple of cons in Sydney, if you look up Sydney animania you get all the details. It is at Technology park which is not that far out of the city.

not a DD owner... but will be at convention both day =v= i kinda want a DD.. hoping the Touhou ones turn out nice XD i feel like getting one of them and customize into a Suika or Flandre...
Will be cosplaying Lancer on Saturday.. most time will be mucking around Lilium Visuals.. but i think i will drop my Azone Azunyan in Feito Costume at the table... are the tables there only allowed with ball jointed dolls?
The table is restricted to BJDs and DD's as it is a BJD exibit.

i think it would be aloud.. i always have my 2 mamachapps there without any problems.
