Figures Strike Back - Chibi Reimu
I noticed Danny-san mentioned something abt a doll forum, citing lesser figure pix here in FIGURE.FM. So here's a full figure post.
I will be digging out my old pix. Leading the charge is Hakurei Reimu, taken in various parts of SG.
Well, I started my otaku-career with figure-photography at first, collecting 1/8s and posable ones, along with the odd chibi figure.
I felt that figures while being super-true to the anime, were static and rather large. Plus, they were difficult to take to shoot areas for photography often needing the original boxes and plastic shock-absorbers. Posable ones were better, but still I can't shake off the feeling of playing with toys in public, in the same vein as Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters action figus of my childhood. Or the Spiderman of today.
Still whatever the difficulties, otakus with passion will still do figu-photography. Though my otaku-dom revolves around dolls now, I'd remember it all started with figures.

@SG.
Pic by chibi aka Lenon.

On the threshold of...

I LOVE THIS SHOT!!!
Gotta go there at 7AM! But a Saturday morning well spent.
I owe it to Xka_Onslaught aka Darren for bringing me along for shoot.
The words mean "The sun rises from the east". Poetic, considering Reimu is from Touhou also meaning East Side, along with the rising sun on the right (east) side.

The rest of the party are visible...

And so is the party for Round 2.

Its more like a cottage... Marisa's.

Figures are washable, so be adventurous. I took risks I'd never dare take with dolls.
Mud-pie, anyone?

I like this shot wayyy better. The crystal droplets were... sublime ^^

Reimu bids goodbye, if you can spot her.

One of SG's lesser known cliff-faces.
I luv the water surface. My prosumer cam sometimes impresses me. Sometimes.

Muu~
Spare a penny?

For SG pple guessing where this is,
this ain't Little Guilin or Palau Ubin or Dairy Farm.

very creative with the lotus leaf , nicely done!
thanks. it was just blind luck to hit that idea.
Nice photos of Singapore, now I feel nostalgic of KL.
It looks like you had a great time during the photo shoot.
Sure did. KL is good, but rather crowded, however is full of character.
I love the contrast of the big cliff, wide open water, and tiny Nedo in the corner. :D
Thanks. That's the whole idea.
Great locations for figure shots. And I agree, its great to see figure posts here on figure.fm, especially if people are hiding away great photos like these.
Thank you, there will be more to come, I'm only starting dig them out.
