This is my neighbourhood. Singapore is a small country so most people live in high-rise flats like the ones in the background, where my block is. =)

This is the bus stop I take the bus to work everyday.
Coffee shop with all the oh nom nom nom food.
Almost all car owners drives Japanese cars.
Double storey bus.
Chinese temple where I learn all my gong fu.

My neighborhood is just full of 2 story houses. Nothing but houses and yards.

Within my immediate area, there are mostly one story houses. Other nearby neighborhoods have tons of two story houses. There are also quite a few apartment complexes nearby, too. Though, they aren't quite as high as the ones in your picture. They're mostly 2-3 stories high, along with some town houses.
I'm just going to take a wild guess at where this is, its not near Jurong West is it?

I've only been to Singapore once and that was when I was living in Orchard (Lucky Plaza)
I was only there for 2 weeks , didn't get to visit alot, but I loved Singapores atmosphere
it also felt like home aswell, On the way to Orchard from the airport and back to the Airport
we were on one highway , when we passed were many many appartments like yours , I asked the Taxi driver, how much are these places? he told me 250$ a Month and I thought that was really reasonable , compared to Australia where its almost 400$ a week, something about Singapore is calling to me to stay there...
