(Updated) Gelgoog Otousan
As some folks asked for better pics of the newest member of my Zeon family, I'm posting 'em now. After this I'm gonna go play 'My Life as a King' lol.
Now I do have a few questions for those seasoned Mobile Suit-makers, the little sheet of transfers, how do you put them on your MS? I'd hoped they were stickers like the others lol.
AND how do you do the weathering, or just getting rid of the rest of the plastic nub-bits on the pieces, I did my best with my my clipper things and the file, but I think I need some super-fine sandpaper or something. And I will be getting a super-fine tipped marker to do the panels, any recommendations of where to get the pens?
More pics at my blog now, just got through posting lol.

Since Tom was hanging about, I thought I'd see if she'd sit still long enough for me to take pics of her with Gelgoog-otousan on her back lol. Twas much fun hehe.

Wobbly, standing in this pose. Maybe I should get one of those gunpla stands from Gundamnation.....hmmm

Noble looking beasty, My cat's cuter though.

My brothers cat annoyed him. And just look what happened.

More pics at my blog too.

Little sheets? Are you talking about the dry transfer decals or the sheet stickers?
For the sheet stickers I apply them with a x-acto knife, for the decals I cut 'em of first.. Align 'em then use some scotch tape to hold 'em off and finally rub it off vigorously.
There are tons of techniques about weathering you could buy some 'Tamiya Weathering Compacts' they're like make up for your gunpla/plamo ;D But they way I do it is draw off a pattern with a graphic pen then rub it off with swabs :3
Removing nubs.. I use my handy x-acto knife to cut away the nubs. Be careful though you might cut yourself or chip off the gunpla XD Then I use some sandpaper (600 grit or higher) to rub the remaining off. Quicktip: I cut off a portion of the sandpaper and glue it off on some popsicle sticks, makes life easier when sanding :D
Not too sure about what pen to use but find some graphic pens who are 0.2 or 0.3 fine.. Bought mine from a local store. Then there's always those 'Gundam Markers'..
And if I'm not making any sense just visit these sites.. :D

Naw, you made perfect sense. Cheers. So its just a case of rubbing the dry-transfer decals on? Easier than I thought it'd be lol.
Need to see if my dad has some 600+ grit sandpaper too. And see what permanent markers we got lying about lol, I know theres one, but its a bit thick if I remember correctly.
And lol at makeup for your gunpla. May look into something like that. I wants ta make Gelgoog-otousan all pretty n whatnot.
High five! You're into gunpla modeling much more than others are :D
I suggest a quick read on the first link, basically it tells you what are the simplest thing you can do to make your gunpla look much awesome, had a few thing I didn't mention (be sure to just ignore the airbrushing part).. And it's made by Danny too ;D
Forgot to say that you did a good job on your first MG gunpla :D And wish we had a cat like that.. :3
try looking for gundam marker.. usually I tend to pick 0.1,
btw is your cat a male?
I have a feeling that he is a bit naughty.. and have a don't care attitude. But his fur colors is awesome.. :D
Love cat.. :3
lol, Tom's a girl cat, but my brother got her when he was 4 and I was 5, he named her after Thomas the Tank Engine lol. Our cats are sisters. And yes, she's a bit naughty, can get a bit aggresive when playful lol.
Wow.. it's a she!! And looks like she is a healthy cat..
Female cat tends to be a bit aggresive (I called it sensitive)
I have two female cats too.. And they are very happy to bite my PS stick cables.. >.< (Even ruining my speakers)
Hehe... great pics! Since you're entertaining requests, can you take pics in a lively, public place? ^^;;
Oooo that could be fun! Middle of Norwich on a saturday!!! Oooooo..... I may well do so... Not sure my bags big enough for my Gelgoog-otousan, for Gelgoog-okaasan it'd be fine lol.
hey Meimi! Nice job- don't worry too much about detailing and that- it's quite easy once you get the hang of it^^
I normally use a brush pen with indian ink for the panel lines, the use some matt varnish over the top. I actually did a gelgoog recently too, http://zerodegreedesigns.deviantart.com/art/Chars-gelgoog-custom-colour-114945129 -just used some spray to customise the colours.
Also: nice cat.^_^lol
