Nendo help please! XD
Well, I know it's the nth time that I've asked this question, but I'd like to ask some guide regarding one of my next few purchases - specifically, the Nendoroid part! XD I'm not exactly a fan of Nendoroid... in fact, I don't have any. For the collectors out there, I'd like to ask for some suggestions - Nendoroid [Vocaloid] Luka, [K-On] Azusa, [K-On] Mugi, or [BRS] BRS?? As a personal choice, I only decided to get one of these 4 I'm chosing from, and throughout the post, I'd be mentioning a few more bits about what specific Nendoroid I'm looking for...
My purpose of course, is I think the most important thing to consider. I'd like to mold my rather "crude" FigurePhotography skills. I'd like a figure that can blend in with a sunny/fun/light/bright/summer-esque environment... the reason for that being - I'm not exactly that good in photography, so I can't push my camera to its limit yet. Meaning I can only produce quality shots under bright sunlight, otherwise, they won't come out good at all!
Somehow, I don't think Luka goes well with that definition... but I really find her clothes stunning. XD
Again, I'm not a Nendoroid fan, and much less a collector (not even buyer for that matter XD). So once I started considering getting a Nendo, my eyes were set on Azu-nyan after seeing Danny reveal that she's pretty much ranked as the top-figure of the year! After which came the unbelievable faucet of Nendo Azusa posts here in FigureFM which opened my eyes much wider to how cute she really is! Other than that, she fits my purpose perfectly...
My only doubt about this figure is how her clothes are a bit plain and flat compared to other Nendoroids...
Next is Mugi! She's my favorite character in K-On, so she was an easy-pick for me... if only there were no other choices. XD That smiling face of her fits just EVERY environment I've listed - plus the teaset which made it an edge!
My only doubt about this figure is that she's not as known as other K-On characters, so she doesn't have the high-profile character that I was hoping for.
Last and definitely not least is the Nendoroid BRS. I only added her in my selections because I'm getting the Figma counterpart - and I've always dreamt of posing a Nendo with its Figma counterpart together! XD Pretty shallow and quite easy to achieve, but I just haven't seen the perfect character for that set-up yet. And I don't think BRS is cute enough to get the Nendo+Figma set-up perfectly... I find her more kick-arse than cute. She's not really much of a choice, but I just added her because... well, I'm not really sure. XD
Since I've been getting the "It's up to your preferance" card in my previous posts about Nendos, I'd like to clear that I'd like a suggestion straight out from you. =3 As I've said, I'm not much into Nendos, so it's not really a choice for me. Unlike with Figmas wherein I can easily segregate the ones I want from the once which are "meh."
They are all great and quality is consistent. Pretty much it comes down to picking your favorite character based on your personal preference.
One key difference among those four is the new type of base included in BRS nendoroid while rest of them comes with standard clear one.
I couldn't agree more about quality consistency - our beloved GSC ensured that for us! =3
But I really couldn't decide which character to get! XD What I'm sure of, is that I'm not planning on getting more than one.
Naw, once you buy one soon you won't be able resist getting more.
Well, aside from one of these 4, my next Nendo *WANT* is Nendoroid ArcBishop from Ragnarok Online. Aside from that, I don't have anything in mind yet. XD
Actually, Azunyan's nekomimi-shaped, not quite standard.
Funny thing is i have all of theses ^^" but i think it's up to you personally. Each one has something about them that i like about, but mainly whether or not i like their character and source has a big influence.
But I like all of them! XD I really can't decide! But I'm sure I don't want all of them on my desk - just one. I juts really can't decide on which one I should really get. =3
luka will be kinda hard to get now
azusa and mugi currently got restock I believe
BRS is still brand new
but for me I'll pick luka since it comes with the tako XD
Tako is pretty much the reason why I put Luka on my selections list. =3
Get Black Rock Shooter! They're all good nendos, but Black Rock Shooter is probably best choice cuz she's a good stand alone figure.
If you get Luka, eventually you'll want to get Miku, Kaito, Rin and Ren and complete the set!
If you get Mugi or Azu you'll eventually want to fill out the rest of the band!
Well like I've mentioned, I only want one because I'd like to try it for photoshooting... So trying to fight the temptation of completing a character roster might be quite easy.
Yes, but nendos are poison! Can't stop with only one ;) Black Rock Shooter FTW! She has a flaming eye!
I have both Luka and Azusa. They are my 2 favorite because they are so cute! Azusa is really versitile.
I dunno. I really want the BRS nendo too. But I say Azu-nyan!!

hmm i have all 4 although i yet to collect luka from the shop.
but if you really plan to pick 1 only, go with Mugi since you mention she is your favorite and fit in the environments u listed.
She may not be as popular as the other 3 but i have seen ton of photos for the other 3 so maybe will be nice to see more of mugi instead.
That's a very tempting point... You're right - most K-On Nendo photos are of the other characters, always less of Mugi.

My vote was for Mugi as I think she would fit best in a bright - sunny type of a shot. She's just so cheerful looking. Not that Azunyan isn't, I just think Mugi fits even better for that.
There also seems to be more Azunyan posts compared to Mugi so your photos would be a bit more unique. That may keep you interested in photographing her more often.

"If" I were to get a Nendo, (Which I don't see in the near future) I'd look at either Luka, for the expressions and her outfit, or Azusa, because of her "Neko" accessory and expressive faces. I haven't seen K-on! so I can't say much about Mugi, same as with BRS. (As far as Luka goes, I think I'd order her as a figma anyway, she'd match in size with the Saber, Ein and Canaan here at home) *And I agree with cstoe above: there's not many pics with Mugi at the moment..*

I have only got Luka out of the above 4 as I think she is adorable.I almost got Azu-nyan who is the most photogenic and is very cute.
The BRS is excellent value for money with the base and weapon but I dislike the scarring on the body.Mugi is a poor choice as far as I am concerned unless somone is trying to complete the set.
Since you are a Mugi fan, I would say go for her as she is adorable.
I have all of them except for Nendo Luka, although I still have her in my wishlist. LOL.
I think your interest should go above what everyone else thinks, and taking photos of a popular character won't really increase your photography skills anyway, only practice does.
With that said, I think Mugi is the best choice since you're a fan of hers already. Go team Mugi!
