Momoko finally home!
Hey guys! I'm new here on Figure.fm, so forgive me if I do something wrong!
So yesterday. after weeks of waiting and pestering the store clerks and disappointment, I was finally able to go to Volks and pick up my DDdy base body! In addition to the body, I picked up optional head DDH02, animatic eyes, a wig cap, and a bunch of face-up supplies to start putting together my girl Momoko. Forgive her nakedness, the Tenshi no Sumika in Fukuoka didn't have anything that would fit her and right now I'm being cautious about clothing until her Peach Pai DDdy bust comes in from Celga. She's also missing a wig because I couldn't fina any at Mandarake that fit what I wanted for her (though I did pick up a second wig cap for super cheap!).
I just finished giving her a face-up, it's been two years since I've done one so I'm pretty rusty, but I think I did ok for my first time on a vinyl head.
So before I start spending any more money, I must ask you lovely folks a couple questions. First, what will fit the Peach Pai bust? Anything from Dollmore or Iplehouse? Also, about black wigs, is it just the wig cap that will stain the doll, or will the strands of hair also stain?
Finally, I got two point cards, one filled completely and one filled half-way, when I made my purchase from Volks. Anyone happen to know what they are for?

Ok LAST QUESTION, FOR REAL! Has anyone heard of I-Doll? I assume it's some kind of doll show, I saw flyers for an I-Doll being held here in Fukuoka and thought you lovely folks would be able to help me figure out what it is and what it's like. Thank you!

I believe it is only the wig cap that stains, not the strands of hair.

Not at all, I have to rest my hands and the head against the table to get the most stability out of them, and even then, I can get super uneven lines. That's why color thinner and a cotton swab come in handy so often!

A natural dark brown or black color. I'm modeling her after a character in my doujinshi.

You'd have to remove the neck piece unless you were planning on molding bits onto a DD head to make her helmet (which is exactly head-sized and not helmet-sized for some reason, but I think that that is a great idea!

For most fibers, only the cap stains; the color of the hair itself is part of the plastic. However, with natural fibers like mohair all bets are off.
Thank you! I remembered that most wigs are made of plastic fibers so I didn't think that there was any possibility of them staining, but I wasn't entirely sure so I had to ask.
