Otaku Room Submissions for TV
T'was great to see many of your rooms on Culture Japan - thanks for all the submissions!
But! the video example I initially gave was bad because it was about 20 mins long - many of you submitted videos which were over an hour!
Submitted material was just too long to go though which is why we didnt show as much as we wanted.
However, I uploaded a short video to give you an example of how short n sweet your video should be.
Introduce yourself and mention which country you reside in then proceed to show us the juicy bits around your room. I used an iPhone4 which takes HD video which is fine but 1920 x 1280 px is preferred. We cant use VGA. Please tag your entry "tokyomx"
If you are interested in taking part, upload your 5 - 10 min video to YouTube and then post the original mov or mp4 file on https://www.dropbox.com/

We will be showing your rooms throughout the first season but need some for next weeks show so we will use the ones first submitted.
If you submitted before but didn't get chosen then it was probably because what you submitted was way to long - quality over quantity. But then some folks didn't submit the original videos in time.
There were a couple of entries of bare rooms with a couple of figures - not quite what we are looking for for terrestrial broadcast.

Mine was around 14 minutes - is that usable? I might shoot a shorter one anyway.

The 14 minute one was made the first time around when Danny's example was around 20 minutes long. I think at the time mine was one of the shorter ones!
same deal for me. Mine was around 20 minutes. Can't imagine making a 1hr video for my room though.
Not sure if I want to go through making yet another video though.
Shorter one would be great.

I completely missed your post asking for the original videos to be submitted to dropbox the first time.
Mine was about 17 minutes ^^;

I could try and video edit. Never done it before XD
Choosing which bits are juiciest is probably the more difficult part ^^;

That's nice I'm looking forward to see more of other people's videos. I encourage everyone to try it, I was very shy when I did mine and couldn't speak properly while recording XD but it was a lot of fun ^^.
