The Chimera is a mythological creature that Has the head of a Lion, the body of a Goat and the tail of a Dragon/Serpent, and is sometimes depicted by artists as having 3 heads (Lion, Goat and Dragon) and wings like that of a bat or dragon. I chose the Chimera more for its mythological meaning rather than the visual, though I might take a few elements of the mythos into the build

That would be a nice idea, but, no. The transformation mechanisms would be too complex, so I guess visual representations should suffice.
Ever seen the Unicorn Banshee? Its head is actually meant to look like a lion's head.

No, hence, my contention that the Banshee doesn't even look like a lion. If you look more closely, the Lion is on the chest.

Why yes, I have, yet it doesn't really look like a lion's head, does it? It looks more like a moose or an elk. Also this Chimera's head is a Dragon, the Chest is a Lion. I do take liberty in mixing things up.

excellent build, i particularly enjoy the head modifications, clean, stylish, yet badass. very nice. ( -.-)b
I do feel that a few parts are too stripped down. for example, the waist seems too skinny from certain angles, but it's more of a difference in taste than anything else.
i look forward to your painting skills, and since i am a katoki fan, i hope you will consider adding some pretty stickers on this beauty too. =)
I agree with you regarding the waist as I had planned to thicken it back then, but, it kinda grew on me. Also, though decals do look good on some kits, I'm not much of a fan of it, and considering this is a fantasy build, I don't find a need for additional markings.
The base kit itself has plenty of details especially in Destroy Mode. All I actually have to do is additional panel lines as well as enhance the existing ones.

You misunderstand. You have contributing posts, meaning you have posted relevant material and uploaded your stuff, whereas, the other guys (spliff and reaper) are probably just flamebaiting trolls with no relevant posts.

By any chance are you aiming for a Kamen Rider or Sentai feel? Coz that's what I've instantly thought of the moment I've seen your modded Unicorn.
I wasn't really aiming for anything. I think of something, then do it. Sometimes, it works, sometimes, it doesn't.
It's not only you who saw the same thing. The Ram Daggers are indeed Guyver-inspired (though the Spiegel may also have something to do with it).
This is a very fresh unicorn mod! Blades, lion, and dragon? I love it!
The torso proportion mod makes it blend with those actually-too-long legs of unicorn destroy mode.
It's like a ninja unicorn to me.
