Summer Loots

Posted by GundamJehutyKai [www]

It's been a while since I posted here, but I thought that some people may be interested in the items which I picked up over the summer. Having said that, the majority of it was purchased within the last month. Being a garage kit builder, most of them are GK but not all...

The first item is the LAFM Sheryl Nome from Megahouse. I received her way back in June but never bothered to post her. In fact, Yunamon posted about the Ranka release before I thought to share a couple of pics of Sheryl even though I got Sheryl much earlier! I also have the Casual Clothes version as well.

And before anyone asks (and because I know someone will!) yes, she strips!!

and teases as well!!

With a couple of other additions, this is the current state of my Sheryl Army. I've got a couple of other items on the way as well and I didn't add the Sheryl Nome Visual Book I picked up at the MCM expo.

Yes, I rather like Sheryl...

But the majority of my summer spending went to garage kits to add to my ever growing pile of kits to build. I wrote a post on my blog going into more detail on each but these are all of them except 1, in the preliminary build stage so I can see how they look and check for missing pieces.
The only one not in the shot is my Himeji Shoukanjuu from Baka To Test To Shoukanjuu Which was my only Wonder Festival purchase this year. I couldn't get the parts together without pretty much going all the way for the build so she didn't make it into the pic. Hanekawa Tsubasa (the one I'm holding) was also a pain. She was purchased at Treasure Festa

I wrote a blog post going into more detail on the kits but I thought I'd share some pics of 2 in particular.

The first is the "World is Mine" Hatsune Miku garage kit, sculpted by a chinese maker who goes by the name of Kiking. She was posted here a while back. The strange thing is that I don't even like Hatsune Miku, but this kit really impressed me enough to try and get one. And don't even get me started on BRS...

And I have to say that she was an absolute pain in the arse to acquire as kiking only sells a limited number of kits via some chinese version of Paypal! I ended up having to call some favours from friends in Hong Kong to get her. I'm also trying to get one of his great looking Dead Master kits as well. Don't know how well that is going to turn out...
I put up more pics of Miku up on a separate blog post.

and last but certainly not least, is this beast!! a 1/4 scale resin kit of Bayonetta from Volks.
Like their other 1/4 scale kits, Bayonetta is not cheap! She cost me 56,000 yen + shipping to get her. That also included the proxy fees as she was event exclusive and was not sold on the volks website. (the customs charging on her would probably be more expensive than the proxy fees anyway!)

and for those who remember, I also purchased the 1/4 scale KOS-MOS around this time last year, which I have still yet to paint (she's up next! REALLY!!) so I thought I'd put the 2 together.
For those who are thinking of getting Bayonetta via your *ahem* preferred dealers, I should warn you that, like KOS-MOS, Bayonetta will not fit on a single IKEA detolf shelf! And for those of you who managed to get one of the official prepainted KOS-MOS figures from volks, be prepared to use up 3 shelves. That sword is HUGE!!!!

I have no idea what the probability of it actually happening is, but I want a prepainted PVC of this.

Sadly, the probability of a PVC version is slim to none. Volks aren't known for making their GK into PVC and they sure as heck won't license it out to someone else.
But there may be a chance on it getting a prepainted release but expect to pay a lot for one!

Wouldn't PlatinumGames/Sega have a say in who the kit would/could be licensed to? I understand that Volks makes the game, but they don't own the Bayonetta property.

Sega can (and has) license bayonetta to other figure companies And they can make figures of bayonetta but they will not be this one, in either scale or design as that is volks property. They can't just copy the figure from another company.
