Frost's Imaging Armory

Posted by Frost [www]

Here's mine imaging gear:

Canon EOS 400D
50mm f/1.8 II lens
Panasonic Lumix LX3

I shoot primarily with natural light so I haven't purchased a flash. I'm currently saving up for a better prime lens and a decent zoom lens.

My first ever camera.

I bring this camera along with me everyday. The size helps in carrying it around although there are situations where the sensor on a DSLR cannot be beatn.

Its better to get yourself a zoom lens first
your 50mm 1.8 should be good enough considering the price ;)

Nice photos, how did you achieve that effect? Post-processing or settings? ^^

The original photo was set to desat. The post-processing brings back the color.

A 50mm will give you the sharpest pictures and is the most mobile and fastest one too boot. I never leave home without my 50mm.

Good to take ambient light photos with auto light balance most of the time.

Nice perspective, and like the blueish look. It seems, cool and calming!

Thanks. I always like shooting in ambient light. I'm considering getting a better prime lens. The downside with this 50mm f/1.8 II lens is the make of its glass and the mount is only plastic. But for its price, you get more bang for the buck, that's for sure. But I'm hoping I can get myself either a 85mm f/1.8 or a 100mm f/2.8 macro USM.
